I apologise for any confusion, Thierry and Holiday.
You both know my thoughts on everything so I would hope you both agree I genuinely wasn't stirring up anything.

The best part is that this spirit of camaraderie is taking place in the Egbert thread

It's interesting that this forum seems to be a microcosm of society in which the people demand to be free yet they secretly covet the idea of being controlled because they do not know how to do so themselves.

Whoa.
I'm tripping.

Did you ever have that feeling that there's something happening in your universe?
Powerful forces are pulling you in several directions at once?

I know that this isn't the thread to ask this, but something is coming.
Something is on the horizon.

Nah.  I'm probably mistaken.

You may be right and I may be crazy but I think an Egbert post from Greg himself is on its way.

THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!  HE CAN TELL US HOW HE'S THE BEST OF THE BEST OF THE BEST.  WE ARE ALL IDIOTS.  HE WINS.  HE ALWAYS WINS.  WE ARE LOSERS!  HE SELLS TO EVERYONE WHO SELLS!  HE'S THE BEST.  HE'S AMAZING!

What a freak he is!

And, in case a few don't know about Egghead's posts, he always screams his ramblings and insults with the caps lock on.
Best regards,

Holiday

But does he have any strong feelings one way or another.  I'm not sure by the wishy washy wording he's using  wynk  .

Here's a question I wonder how many people will answer truthfully:

If Greg (or any other questionable dealer) had a poster for sale that was authentic, hard to find and a great (cheaper than anywhere else) price, would you buy it to add to your collection, especially with eBay's Buyer Protection policy these days (if not purchasing direct from his website)?
Best wishes,
Adam

No Adam.  Never again.

Let's be fair here, the man does sell genuine movie posters.  Along with reprints carefully labeled as authentic posters.  I think any seasoned poster collector could tell the difference.  But a lot of us have been duped in our early days by Egbert and have learned our lesson.  At this point, it is all about integrity, or the lack of.  I think we all need to stand together against crooks and make sure newbies learn from our mistakes.

I'll go with T on this one as well.  Never dealt with the Egg man (googoogachoo), but Loce is on that same "list," and we had similar tastes for a long time.  Wouldn't buy from him.  Period.  Won't even look at his stuff.  Don't care if there's an original Mystery of the Leaping Fish for $1, he can keep it.

Some things are worth sticking to your guns for, not supporting the hobby assholes is one of them.

Sorry, but I have bought from him and I would again if it suited me. The difference is that I know what I'm doing.  If you're not absolutely certain, then don't.

I get Thierry and the others who as a matter of principle don't buy from him.  They are purer than I. I am a whore.

My couple of experiences ended well also. Not all perfect as I had one dispute which he cleared right up.

I called him.

It has been a while now and I dont know if he lists his number still but anyone looking for some great entertainment should call him.

I asked him a few questions for my entertainment....and I was entertained.  ;)

If Egplant was selling rare posters, I would understand the "whore" stance, but there is nothing he sells that cannot be found somewhere else.

I have total faith in am terrified by the APF powers-that-be:
