Any particular reason why the Nazi/SS posters are favourites?

I have always been fascinated by the artwork of the Axis propaganda posters.

And regardless of subject matter, I find it so fascinating to see what the artists then came up with to SO promote the cause and/or negate those around them that were felt to be the "reason."

Great pieces there, Christian. Let alone saving and being the caretaker of these historical posters for the future.  thumbsup.gif

In any collecting field where big money can be made, fakes and fraudsters are sure to follow.

I usually stick to dealing within the collecting community that I know and dealers that I trust and
so far have not had any major issues.......touch wood! eyeroll

I take the same approach. I too stick to buying from the dealers, auction houses or film shops I know. I might end up paying a little bit more but I know I am buying the real deal.

A new acquisition...

A very nice work by Mjölnir (Hans Schweitzer).

I don't have it in hand as yet as it is still in transit, coming from San Fran....

Maybe its possible to change the title of the thread to read "Christian's WW2 Propaganda Poster Collection"
if there are a few people thinking it may be of a religious theme...

Is this possible Jeff......?    dontknow.gif

Maybe better as:

"Christian's not necessarily Christian, in fact non denominational, WW2 Propaganda Poster Collection" ?

(you might need to do that for all your threads)

Agreed,

Just take my name out of the thread title, less confusion that way.
