Iranian Film Posters

Iran has produced some wonderful films, some of which have even gotten releases with subtitles in the West such as Asghar Farhardi's A Separation but in general few people collect these posters because, like the ones for Egyptian films, they are not printed in English and few non-Iranians have seen the films or can understand Persian.  I've done a lot of blog entries for Iranian film posters because I have a special fondness for them.  Here's one I posted in March 2013 that has been very popular with my readers for the 1961 Nosratolah Vahdat film Roast Duck [morghabi-ye sorkh kardeh]:

Very interesting - thanks. And yes A separation is a wonderful film. I love Persepolis too..

This is a 26.25" x 37.75" undated Iranian rerelease poster with art by Atelier Akbar for the 1944 Malcolm St. Clair film The Big Noise.
