Well, the gossip rags, aka the DailyFail....er mail.

I did laugh sir.

I am used to seeing Fleabay, for example, but this is a first for the Mail.  And supremely deserved.

Hilarious.

The 6ft 6ins by 3ft 5ins poster, known as a 'three sheet' because it is made up of three panels, has been in a private collection ever since.
3 panels?

Anyways..................

thanks for not mocking my post here, i thought all 3 sheets were made of overlapping 2 sheets (like the 2 that I own), but after reading up on fffmovieposters.com I realize that "3 sheets" can have ONE, TWO, or THREE different pieces.  (insert Chris with "The more you know" jpeg...)

yes 3 sheets can indeed be 1-2-3 pieces depending on era and company
Monogram used the 2 piece and 3 piece method when most were using the 2 piece standard. Many silent 3 sheets are in 3 pieces (I sold several last year)
then in the 1960s-70 companies started moving to a one piece standard. Star Wars is a one piece 3 sheet
