Hi Tob. Thank you for the welcome. Thank you for watching that old video. That was made in 2008, not long after I finally decided to hang my posters on my wall---and went overboard framing what I could. Since then I have acquired many, many more posters--including some nicer ones. But, I still have posters I'm looking for and holes in my collection that need to be filled (don't we all?).

Yep! My want list grows quicker than it shrinks! I think that's part of the fun for me, there's always another pretty piece of paper around the corner!

And as that want lists grows, those pretty pieces of paper get more and more expensive. Ha! But what can you do? Stop? NOT!

Hi Shawn, thanks for the kind words in my welcome thread, and a warm welcome back.  I'd love to see photos of your Mexican posters if you feel like sharing  welcome1

Hi Deke,

Thanks for the note back! I don't have that many Mexican posters (yet) and,as I explained in my introductory note on this link, I and all my stuff are living in storage in a manner of speaking for at least another year. I can not access my posters at this time to take pictures of the actual posters I have. However,I found these samples to show you what my few Mexican posters are like (I usually only collect US one sheets, but...). Strangely, they are all for horror movies and feature Mexican wrestlers! Ha! Here they are:

The last one is my favorite of the four. The colors are much more vivid than what is shown here.I particularly love the weird swirling, whirlpool of eyes! Wild!

I hope you like them.

I know there is a "recent acquisitions" thread (or something like that), but would anyone care to post some of their recent purchases on this other thread I started (before I knew APF forum existed)?  I'm lonely there and it feels like poster masturbation every time I post...and there's no one there but me.  Waaagh!

Thanks!

Hi Chris!

Thanks for venturing over there and taking a peek at least. I know many on here are super collectors with tons of beautiful and rare (and expensive) posters. I have some "nice" ones--but it's taken me a long time to get that far. Those are just the posters I've gotten since the beginning of the year.  Anyway, I don't suppose you'd care to post some of your posters over though so we can "play"together. It's so lonely over there...  Ha!

Anyway, thanks again for stopping by and taking a look.

Cheers!

Welcome MAGG, I am liking the sexpolitation, Konga and Invisible Woman. Post you new stuff here on APF and you will get a lot more feedback on your posts than on that other link/forum you posted

Hi Steve,

I appreciate the visit and salutations. You are probably right (i.e. ARE right) about posting here instead of the other place. Perhaps I'll try both in the future. I hate to abandon the other one (even though they deleted the entire original thread I had going for several years when they went to their new format) because I'm the only one posting and it's a good way for me to keep track of what I've purchased.  (I was endlessly referring to the old thread for that very reason...)

But I do appreciate your checking it out.

Cheers!

MAGG you don't just need to post your new stuff into the latest acquisitions thread, you can create your own thread like "MAGG's posters" and add your new stuff into that. Quite a number do that. Rick here posts into both threads. I think most people search by clicking "Show unread posts" so that shows up any buried threads that get updated bringing it right to their attention. Maybe create your own collection thread here and copy across the posts from that other site

Hey MAGG.

Is that other blog/site you want people to look at that you haev placed your images in, your own created web space?

If so, then it seems to be more like others have done here, who have created photo-based image libraries on photobucket, flickr and the like. If that is the case, then really, that site should only showcase your own posters.

APF is a a melting pot and forum where and and all members can post their collections, so your seems quite a bit different in that regard.

cheers

Jeff

Thank you DarvishJo! I appreciate the note.

Steve, I think I might just do that--start my own collection page. Great idea! Thanks!

Jeff, no--that other site is a pre-existing site that celebrates all things movie/TV/entertainment related. I initially joined to try and win contests they had there, but stayed because there was conversation. Of course, whatever popularity the site had soon waned and it became a ghost town. However, back when I first found it I enjoyed it. There was no discussion about movie posters, so i started one. Not many joined in but I kept posting my latest purchases anyway, making comments etc hoping some other poster enthusiast would eventually show up. When the site gave itself a make over (and erased all of the old threads), I just started over. That's what that is--my new version of an old thread. While I hate to abandon the old site (which, despite the revamping,is still as dead as it was before the revamp),I do think I will do a new version on here. Thanks!

Okay, so I've made my own page of recent purchases on here. If you are curious at all (or just want to be polite, neighborly, or nosy), here's the link: http://www.allposterforum.com/index.php/topic,9480.0.html
