MPAA Posters
« on: March 07, 2016, 07:04:54 PM »
Does anyone know of a good resource on the web or otherwise, for a database of MPAA ratings posters (preferably with date ranges as well)?

If a giraffe sat in front of me, I'd be a little annoyed

don't have posters, but there are youtube videos out there showing the progression
early to mid 60s

1968-9

1970

1972
GP became PG to clear some confusion

1985?
PG-13 was added, thanks to Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.  Parents complained that the movie was too gross and violent for PG

Easy 90s - NC-17 was introduced for adult films wishing an MPAA logo.  Sickle and Ebert lobbied heavily for it, but the rating never caught on

The poster you showed was current for many years and was only recently replaced
