Am i right in thinking that in space there is no air so that means to resistance to pulling forces? I know I'm correct. i'm just saying.

There's scenes all the way through the film where people let go of the craft only to ping back by their tether to the ship.
So why does that not happen at a crucial moment in the film?

I'm trying not to spoil the film for people who haven't seen it but it seems like a major cheat in the movie just so the storyline can continue on the way it does and it kind of ruined it for me a little. Theres no air, so no pressure and no resistance to pulling forces but at one point it seems like all of that is forgotten.

I still like it though.

There's an understatement.  But people go to the movies to be entertained.  My retort would be watch PBS Nova if you want to get the factuals

I agree in essence. Though for me it's ruined when it's touted as "great science fiction ". So watching it I'm drawn out and keep being reminded it's a movie as the inaccuracies become jarring. Like if someone wears a wrist watch in a gladiator scene in some historical epic

For me the most glaring issue was the reentry of the Chinese capsule - there is no way it would have survived hitting the atmosphere like that

Now I am arguing against my own point

The ending should be cut out entirely. Just at reentry. Every part  after was terrible.

I think it would have been better if she just burned up upon entering the atmosphere. Just my opinion. I was a good movie but not something I will watch again and if I do it will not be anytime soon.
