Festival de Cannes

For a burgeoning Jean-Luc Godard and Brigitte Bardot fan, the Cannes Festival poster is a dream come true. Classic cinema.
I just bought 2 47x63in rolled copies of it.

The new Festival de Cannes is great. I just bought a couple rolled copies. There's been a tiny bit of controversy over retouching the gorgeous Claudia Cardinale, which I would agree a ridiculous since she was one of the most beautiful women of her era.

Collecting Cannes is a tiny tiny sub collection of mine. I only want 120x160 posters (47x63in) which can prove difficult. My collection thus far...
Federico Fellini's painting on the 1982 affiche of the festival is by far my favorite.

Östlund's
The Square
certainly looks different.

Quite happy to see Phoenix get an award. Can't wait to see him and his hammer in
You Were Never Really Here
.

And Kruger, she's apparently remarkable in
In the Fade
.

A big surprise is Coppola. Reviews for
The Beguiled
remake haven't been kind. Almodóvar loves women (in film at least) and the fact that Campion's
The Piano
is the only movie directed by a woman to win the coveted Palme D'Or in 70 years might have something to do with it.

For sure, as soon as I get it.
Funny you should re-open this thread (which I completely forgot about). I just bought (last week) 10 rolled 47x63in Cannes Film Festival posters from the 70s-80s. I'll add them too.
