Today I was informed that Quadbod aka Terry and Sue - the fantastic, respected and renowned UK quad poster and memorabilia dealers - have sadly ceased trading with immediate effect  :(
Here is a link to their website: http://www.quadbod.co.uk/

I would just like to extend my deepest thanks to both Terry and Sue for all the help, advice and guidance they have afforded me over the years.
They deserve so much credit for what they have done for this hobby and for the genuine kindness they have shown everyone.
They will be sorely missed in the poster collecting circles.

I wish them well in the future and once again thank them for everything.
cheers
Best wishes,
Adam

they are top-notch people and one of the dealers who supported MoviePosterBid.com by listing posters since the beginning

I wish them all the best in every way.

I had one significant transaction with Terry, and he was a complete gentleman and a joy to deal with from start to finish.

I wish them the best.

The Poster-world has just shrunk …considerably.

Terry and Sue Will be sadly missed in this hobby, they are two of the nicest people, not just in the poster world, that you could ever meet.

It was always a highlight going to a film fair and spending some time with them. I wish them Both all the very best for the future.
It's more than a Hobby...

Hello, Folks!
This is just a brief 'thank-you' for your kind words and good wishes.
I have been suffering from severe clinical depression for the past 18 months and this has accelerated our decision to cease trading.
We wish you all continued happiness in pursuit of this fascinating hobby and we will always remember the happy times we have spent in your company, either online or in person.
Very best wishes,
Terry (& Sue)

Quad-Bod was my first big purchase...  I had never bought a poster over $30 when I picked up a rolled Amadeus quad from them.  I still remember apologies for the high exchange rate.  First class dealer - so sorry to hear...

Terry has been dealing with his personal issue for a while. I didn't want to mention it because I consider it his private issue.
He's one of the best guys in the business and in case you folks don't know this, he is an actor with a number of credits going back 30 years

I'm pretty sure this is Terry's IMDB page

Right on the money, Rich.
That's why I never said anything about it when I posted my thanks to them both.
For Terry to even come out and state the reasons for their move away from the business is a very credible and brave thing to as it is such a private matter like you say. Kudos to him.
Best wishes,
Adam

Second, well done taking time to get what's important sorted, I'm in and out of that place myself, have been for years.
Thirdly, DAMN! ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL! . .? You are my new hero.

Sorry to hear y'all leaving the business, and I hope everything goes well.  I only purchased one item from Quadbod, through Rich's site a few years ago, and it was a pleasure doing business with you, and you certainly seem like good guys.  Best of luck to y'all.

I do think the fact Terry has posted to the forum is tribute to how far he has come these past many months, it was nice see his name up there again.

I always think of him as the Peter Cushing of the poster world, such a British Gent.
It's more than a Hobby...

I'm very sad to hear this news, Terry and Sue. You were instrumental in getting me hooked on the hobby by always being a friendly and knowledgeable presence at the NEC Memorabilia Fair many years ago. Your prices were always very reasonable and I picked up several of my most prized quads from you over the years.

I wish you both all the best for the future.

I believe it is Rosa. As Paul said, that Terry posted is a measure of working through it.

Depression is a difficult thing to go through, largely because nobody understands what you're going through unless they have also suffered and it's difficult for you to discuss it with others because .. they don't understand what you're going through

the best thing you can do is to surround yourself with people who you know love you and hope that over time what you feel reduces slowly until it becomes a manageable situation. I believe Terry has done that and is on the road to a hopeful recovery, which takes years.

I totally wish Terry all the best as he climbs up this steep mountain.

True. Sadly I know people that suffers from depression, in my own family too. And there is no magic bullet. Prozac is not the answer. It is hard for them and for those who love them. Very Hard.

I wish them both all the best.
