As reported in the NY times, after decades of searching they've finally found the missing 25 minutes of film from Metropolis. 

So I guess there's hope I'll find that Canadian LA Confidential OS (ha-ha).

There was a blog post a while back about some guy who supposedly found a copy of a film titled "The Hypnotist" (London After Midnight's original title) in a film archive/database somewhere...probably wasn't true but finding a LAM print is one of the holy grails

Yeah, I read that, Chris.  I believe it was in a horror film forum or something like that.  Whether there's any truth to what he was saying remains to be seen, but I can only hope he wasn't making it up.  I'd also love to see a copy surface of the original "Golem".
