Always looking locally
« on: October 24, 2013, 08:18:07 PM »
As Im sure most do here. It makes it fun to see stuff in person. I had found one seller here in Venice, CA.. but he's re-organizing his shop and has temporarily moved the movie posters out for a while until he gets more shelving built, etc.

So this afternoon, I got an email from my cousin's GF who lives about 40 miles south of LA in Irvine (Orange County). She knows I like movie posters and she said she tripped across another more, little 'hole in the wall" kind of place (her words, not mine..lol).

She said they have quite an assortment, horror, romance, drama, comedy, but she wasnt more specific as to the range of decades.

I wont be able to get down there til Sat or Sunday (hopefully).

Could be cool tho. And while not right in the backyard, it could still have some nice stuff tucked in, here or there.

To be continued...  8)

I always prefer local if you can find it. Those Southerners always want far too much for their stuff..   wynk

Keep us posted Jeff.

Paul, I've looked at some of those "southern" seller's sites, too.. Unreal what some charge there.. but like anything.. if they can get it, good for them, methinks.  :D

It's why there's No Fairs this end of the country.  A dealer once told me, he would never go past Nottingham to sell, as the further
North he went the less he made....

We're just Thrifty up here... ;)

I mostly deal with other collectors up this end of the country.

If there are any Bette Davis posters from the 30's, I hope you would offer them to me for a fair price  ;)
