Hmmm, we have a "forum squatter" in our midst, similar to a "cyber squatter."  Perhaps the forum owners should let you recover that name in a manner similar to the ACPA/ICANN procedures?  Maybe it constitutes "harassment" and therefore violates the user agreement? (Or maybe it's just a silly prankster....)

Well, I can say right now that whoever signed up with the comicart username had better behave.  One of the things that we WILL ban for is misuse of a name which is essentially trademark infringement, and which can be harassment of another member (I agree with Mel).  I can say that I too thought the comicart user was Rich when signed up, and made the same mistake as easyender.  That says to me: a) I'm a little slow; and b) the name confused me which it should not.  I need to see what T says about possibly reassigning that username, but until then, consider this fair warning to play nice, because there will be no other warnings.

On the other comicart account definitely have an admin ask the account holder what's up, etc, before assuming anything. The assumption game, especially when played online, always ends up in confusion.

As most know an admin on another forum mistakenly assumed and convinced himself, and tried to convince others, that Archie was Hargon, then assumed Archie and Hargon were pranking him together, then due to his confusion as to how IPs work assumed I was "aiding banned members across the US to prank his website". All the while Hargon had no involvement nor did I. Confusion on that level is is difficult to wade through, thus, in part, a new poster forum was born.

Be sure to look into the comicart account before you start talking "nefarious", and "it's probably". We assume a lot when reading online. We assume enough that there's even a saying about what happens when people assume. I understand it's been your handle for ages though.

OMG, you guys are too much!  If and until the person with the comicart username does something worth of attention, we don't feel inclined to do anything more.  It's a tough thing if we have to police every time someone gets to the mark first with a username as well known as Rich's.  At the same time, Rich, I think you do better with the movieposterbid username, because that's where your site is.  I only know "comicart" from the years of associating that name with mpb.

anyway, we've warned comicart (not you Rich  ) to behave.  hopefully, he/she will, if not, we've got our finger on the "delete" key!
