Martin Ansin sale
« on: April 22, 2010, 02:18:58 AM »
Martin Ansin has a few of his Alamo prints still available.  If you are interested, please email me through the forum and I will have Martin email you back.  He doesn't want to sell directly, so I will help him out.  What you will get are AP (Artist Proofs), signed and numbered (the artist's signature is certainly a plus from what was available at Mondo).  And no, I'm not making any money out of this...   nono

Also, please keep in mind that Martin lives in Montevideo and that shipping to the US (or elsewhere) will be a little more than usual.

Available in extremely limited quantities are:

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
6-color screenprint on heavy Speckletone Cream paper, 24 x 36 inches (single variant): $ 150

The Phantom of the Opera
5-color screenprint on heavy white cotton paper, 24 x 36 inches: Standard version: $ 150 / Metallic inks variant: $ 200

The Wolf Man (1941)
4-color screenprint on heavy white cotton paper, 24 x 36 inches: Standard version (Metallic inks): $ 150 / Glow in the Dark variant: $ 200

Also available is:

Stanley Kubrick Exhibition Poster
4-color offset lithography on heavy white matte paper, with matte varnish finish, 24 x 36 inches: $ 100

Good stuff, Thierry...I hope people take Martin up on this, its a great way to get some fantastic pieces directly from the source to boot.  His stuff is only going up in value and these APs are the bees knees.

If I didn't have these I would pick up every single one.  Regardless, thanks for making the connection from Martin to the APF.

They are all very well done posters. Taming of Light and Phantom of the Opera are my favorites of the bunch but they are all a joy to look at in person.

Agreed, Chad.  (good to see you!)

I think Metropolis silver is top notch in person...what a poster.  But anything he does is very cool.

Wow. $200 for the Phantom that I sold for $2500.  I wish they could all like that. I'd be rolling in cash and without a single poster!
Best regards,

Holiday

That 200. price quoted was over 2 years ago, too.  ;)
