Robert Burton vs MAPS daybills

Did Burton get the scraps usually? The single colour variants, the re-releases?

Anyone know how the films were divided up? Seems a bit chaotic - I have a MAPS and a Burton daybill of Tobe Hooper's 'The Funhouse' - same colours and general design, just slightly different size fonts. Why bother with two different printers?
