THE REBEL CASTRO (1959) U.S. ONE SHEET.  UNUSUAL COLD WAR ARTIFACT

http://www.movieart.com/rebel-castro-the-1959-13843/

Of the cold warriors of his era, Fidel Castro outlived them all.  Not a common poster.

SPARTACUS 24 SHEET (1961)  We've not seen this before -- unless you were driving in 1961!  Please forgive if I posted this before.

In view of the definitive CD box set coming out of Huddie Ledbetter's music, it was good time to post this picture.

I think I would use a plastic bag, were I going for those kinds of treats.

Paper gets so soggy -- and then the bottom drops out!  ;D

Early DISNEY Company home video poster  SCARE YOUR KIDS SILLY (1984)

http://www.movieart.com/scare-your-kids-silly-video-1984-1787/

This poster dates from the very earliest era of home video. The Scare Your Kids Silly poster is a poster created by Walt Disney Home Video to promote video releases which featured ghosts and other scary characters. The poster is in very fine plus condition. It's an unusual and scarce artifact of early point of promotion material for video releases from the Disney Company. Check out all the Disney characters that show up!

SWAN SONG (1988) d. Robert Glinski POLISH POSTER  NOT THE USUAL STYLE. I THINK

http://www.movieart.com/swan-song-1988-22385/

Robert Glinski's film is about a film director's dilemma. Should he cater to his own vision and make a film that will please him and that only a few perhaps will want to see? Or should be make a crowd pleaser that he may not love, but which will insure a further career? This is a less frequently seen poster for the film. Condition is fine, but with some minor flaws, rolled.

An interesting dilemma for those given to an artistic bent.

Thankfully I do not have such an artistic talent as otherwise, I feel I would be constantly on edge as to these conflict between what satisfies my needs and what would allow me to continue a Life and career.  The compromises I can imagine would be endless, and endlessly exhausting.

TALES OF TERROR (1962) U.S. SIX SHEET   Unused.  Unbacked.

Is this the Mount Rushmore of Horror?  We posted this to MOPO last night and I thought I would offer it here prior to publication on the website.  We have the only six sheet I know about, although of course there could be others out there.  On the six sheet writ large, the images are impressive.  I will sell this poster for $300, and that may well be undervalued.
+ shipping of $15.00 in the USA, $20.00 in Canada or as needed abroad.

Do you know what the difference between a Porsche and a Porcupine is?

A LADY WITHOUT PASSPORT (1950) U.S. SIX SHEET

http://www.movieart.com/lady-without-passport-a-1950-5495

The six sheet for this film has not been around in the usual places.  This one is in pretty decent, but not perfect condition. I have photographed the four panels comprising the poster separately.

HIS TIGER WIFE (1928) U.S. lobby card, possibly for International Use.

http://www.movieart.com/his-tiger-wife-1928-20813/

Original Paramount Pictures Scene Lobby Card (11x14) for the Hobart Henley silent drama, HIS TIGER WIFE (1928) starring Adolphe Menjou, Evelyn Brent, Rose Dione, and Emile Chautard. The film was also shown Internationally under the title HIS TIGER LADY. Set in Paris, Menjou plays a stage super whose job it is to sit astride an elephant in a rajah's costume. He falls head over heels in love with the imperious patron of the show, affectionately known as the "Tiger Lady" (Brent). In this wonderful scene card, Menjou is masquerading as a rajah in his endless pursuit of the Tiger Lady. This rare original scene card is in near mint condition.

Grrrrrrrrrr!

HANKY PANKY (1982) d. Sidney Poitier  folded, very fine. Art by Walter Velez

http://www.movieart.com/hanky-panky-1982-3173/

Gilda Radner and Gene Wilder met on the set of this film.  This sheet has different art, is less commonly seen.  It would have been nice to have seen how Gilda's comedy would have evolved.

Photos of posters in the older posts in this thread have disappeared.  This is because of the way we posted photos to the forum.  I fought with this for a while, but to no avail.  The LINKS to those posters are still for the most part valid.  We are now hosting photos in a different way and this problem should be alleviated.

MovieArt.com has 26,000 posters.  Please feel free to ask questions about any of them by emailing us through the website.
