FOR YOUR EYES ONLY (1981)

http://www.movieart.com/for-your-eyes-only-1981-2511/

For your eyes only can see me through the night
For your eyes only I never need to hide
You can see so much in me, so much in me that's new
I never felt until I looked at you

For your eyes only, only for you
You'll see what no one else can see and now I'm breaking free
For your eyes only, only for you
The love I know you need in me, the fantasy you've freed in me
Only for you, only for you

For your eyes only, the nights are never cold
You really know me, that's all I need to know
Maybe I'm an open book because I know you're mine
But you won't need to read between the lines

For your eyes only, only for you
You see what no one else can see and now I'm breaking free
For your eyes only, only for you
The passions that collide in me, the wild abandoned side of me
Only for you, for your eyes only

NIGHT OF THE IGUANA (1964) U.S. SIX SHEET

http://www.movieart.com/night-of-the-iguana-the-1964-5497/

Original six sheet poster for John Huston's film of Tennessee Williams' sultry drama THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA (1964,MGM). Richard Burton plays a defrocked Episcopal priest whose post-clerical vocation is directing a busload of middle aged women on a tour of Mexico. All are middle aged except for one, the luscious Sue Lyon, straight from her title role as LOLITA in the Stanley Kubrick film. Burton has his demons to keep at bay - alcohol, despair and his lust for Lyon. Somehow this group ends up in a rundown Mexican beach-side hotel run by the ravishing if ripe Ava Gardner. Gardner has two hot beachboys to keep her amused, so it's something deeper than her own considerable passion and loneliness that attracts her to Burton. Add to this mix a kind and elegant English spinster, fabulously portrayed by the great Deborah Kerr, and her ancient father, who come to stay at the hotel and you have another great Tennessee Williams drama, one of the loveliest of his plays. Marvelously brought to the screen by John Huston, the film fairly bristles. Perhaps the offscreen love affair of Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, who were together in Mexico at the time of shooting has famously made the film part of sixties movie lore. The six sheet is in very fine condition. The poster is printed on four panels and has been "assembled" photographically for viewing. Ask us about linen backing.

DRACULA (1958)   Italian 79x55 linen.

http://www.movieart.com/horror-of-dracula-1958-23551/

There were some folds and issues, but this example is still worthy.  Amazing image.  Art by Mario Piovano. Note: The poster is so big that we have to photograph it as best we can; not the best photo, but you get the idea.

Hi Kirby,

emovie sold one of these in Nov of 2009 (unbacked) and describes it as a 1970 RR (it sold for $87.00)

Was this same image used for both the first and later RR do you know? Both your copy and theirs looks identical. I know that sometimes this could be the case. Here's the emovie link i looked at, for point of reference:

http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/archiveitem/3907183.html

thanks.

So, with a little bit of embarrassment, we now correct the record.  The poster in question is a reissue poster (I believe for the year 1970) for the film released in the USA as THE HORROR OF DRACULA (1958).  Many think this is the best DRAC film there is.  The art on this stellar poster, is, I believe, by Casaro.  And, yes, it apparently sold in one of emovieposter's auctions in 2009 for under $100.  That was an insanely good buy for someone, for this poster is actually quite rare.  I'm afraid that our price is not much affected, although I would probably make an APF contributor a better price on it.  Since that auction at emovieposter, the poster has not been seen at either emovieposter or at Heritage.

ANZIO (1968)  U.S. 24 SHEET and WINDOW CARD combo

http://www.movieart.com/anzio-1968-16750/

This film has been playing on one of the HD movie channels recently.  It's an OK movie, directed by Edward Dmytryk, but the title
sequence has the silliest pop song you ever heard over the main titles.  We will include a window card for this film along with the 24 sheet for APF members.

YOU CAN'T CHEAT AN HONEST MAN (1939)

http://www.movieart.com/you-cant-cheat-an-honest-man-1939-4860/

Art by Jacques Kapralik

Original Universal Pictures Half Sheet Poster (22x28) for the George Marshall comedy masterpiece, YOU CAN'T CHEAT AN HONEST MAN starring W.C. Fields and Edgar Bergen. This hilarious film has Fields running a second rate circus and trying to stay one step ahead of the law and his creditors. Fields was a tremendous hit on radio, especially on ventriloquist Edgar Bergen's program, where he had a long running "feud" with Bergen's "dummy" Charley McCarthy. The film is an attempt to capitalize on this feud, and gags and double takes by the scheming Fields fuels the romp. With torn paper collage caricature art by Jacques Kapralik, this original half sheet poster is in very fine condition. Extremely rare in any condition, this very fine copy in very fine condition is one of the best film posters we currently own. The image area is in great condition - and this half sheet was never folded, but there are some distresses and near-chips in the border area. For this reason we would recommend paper backing for this poster. Ask us about poster conservation.
