Similar-ish = "inspired by."

Vertigo (US OS) ---> Deep Red (Italian 2F)

There's that Zombie hand again!

(Courtesy of Paul's latest acquisition)

While the top half of that 6-sheet is pretty amazing, I am really loving the red background on that quad...

Ditto. The red really makes the whole piece pop.

Borrowing all these from online sources since i'm too lazy to post mine.

Belgium took this from the French:

French borrowed this from Italy:

While Italy made the original poster:

Italy borrowed the Godzilla part from a comic book

He was. He passed away in 2011.
Anyway, he did has some really nice works. For example: Gunfight at the O.K. Corral
He obvious used US 1sh as "model", but his poster is far superior. My favorite for the movie.

I'm not the only person to make this connection, but I did a double take when I recently came across an album from King Crimson.  The cover for "In the Court of the Crimson King" (done by Barry Godber in 1969) was clearly the... ahem... inspiration for the Polish poster for "In Cold Blood" (done by Andrzej Bertrandt in 1971).  Interestingly enough, the Polish artist has a current website and that poster is on it with no attribution, thanks or other recognition to Godber's influence.

Andrzej Bertrandt's site: http://www.bertrandt.pl/z-zimna-krwia/

The alluring artwork of Tierney on the Laura 1/2 sheet and title card was stolen from the earlier 1942 Rings on her Fingers:

The above is not a case of "stolen art," it's merely "inspired by."

+1

I would agree with you here, Brandon.

It is inspiration all the way.

There are far too many differences between the two to say the DI RR artwork was stolen from DEOH (imo).
