I have bought a couple of low priced posters from them. They arrived quickly and they measured up but being relatively new to this Im really not the guy to ask for a recommendation on any one. I would also like to know if anyone knows anything about them as Im leary about larger money purchases and they have a couple I would like to buy. I dont know if this is the same poster you have or if the site is trust worthy but Movieposter.com has this Titanic poster listed as an original and at those same 26 3/4 x 39 3/4 measurements . http://www.movieposter.com/poster/MPW-49046/Titanic.html

Yes they arrived fast and well packaged. But I'm new and don't want to buy the cheap prints. Here is photo. It is a double sided print. Thanks.

I've dealt with them a lot and haven't had any real suspicion towards the posters sold there. (See my post about The Dark Knight "Why So Serious" one sheet and the helpful posts from others.) However, after my previous posts this morning I have become a bit paranoid. Perhaps some of the issues I bring up in this post can be shot down immediately by someone more experienced and they can say "you're just paranoid don't worry" that would be nice. I just got to thinking today about how their listings are organized. I've also just thought I'd compare them to other people such as that guy we don't like to mention that sells fakes (movieposterbargains and all affiliated names) I've noticed a lot of similar wording between the two in the listings. Now prices seem A LOT more legitimate coming from movieposterarena so that's a good sign. But things like the shipping, they while aren't exact are quite close in the way they charge for shipping. Internationally it's the same price, it's the same price for each extra poster, it's only 55 cents difference in the initial shipping charge. Also to add, they have The Avengers teaser just a couple of days after it was released. No one else on eBay has it up. Just raises suspicion seeing as how hi-res the picture of it being released was. Dealing (not in purchase after finding out who they were before making any purchases thankfully) with that guy at bargains, and noticing his bad spelling and idiotic way of messaging people has made me weary of even the most accidental of typos or grammatical issues coming from a seller. I have noticed a few...somewhat broken English phrases from arena at times. But truthfully nothing major. So...just my thoughts of course, does anyone else deal with arena? I guess I could be just paranoid, but it would be nice to discuss a little bit I think.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but have there been anymore dealings movieposterarena? For those that helped me before, this is the same person I bought the LOTR poster from. Shipped beautifully, so that's something (I can't believe the amount of people on ebay that don't know how to protect a poster ). Just curious if anyone has had any bad or good experiences with this seller lately. Saw some things that caught my eye but not sure if I should trust them... a lot of their items appear legit, but there are several low-priced "guaranteed originals" with multiple copies (sound like anyone familiar? lol... I haven't been here but a few weeks and even I know his name now. ) http://myworld.ebay.com/movieposterarena/?_trksid=p4340.l2559

Which ones are you concerned about? The studios print tens of thousands of posters for many movies and poster sellers often get unused rolls of originals from the distributors, so "multiple copies" is nothing new or unusual. By the way, Dale Dilts (eBay ddilts399) is a regular around here and he is "go to guy" for these kinds of posters.

Total Recall is a 1990's film, and I believe most movie posters at that time are 27 x 40 (All the ones I have seen) and True Lies is even later than that. (1994) I find it more odd that you have a 27 x 41... Well I'm almost as new as you are, but that is news to me for a post 1989 film... My Indiana Jones: TLC posters (1989) are 27 x 40 I just bought two posters from movieposterarena, and they were very nice to deal with... Both are double sided.

You're completely right. It was my goof.
Both posters I recieved were originals but were folded and listed as 27x41. The fold lines are spot on and I hadn't actually put them in frames yet so I assumed it was as listed.
My bad everyone! I know false information is enough of a problem without me throwing things out there without double-checking.

Mike, the early '90s are confusing time both for folded vs rolled and for sizes. For example a 1990 Total Recall is 27x90, but a 1994 Stargate is 27x40. Most Total Recalls were sent folded, but the Stargates were rolled.
There just aren't any hard and fast rules during this period. Best bet is to look at the emovieposter archive which will list sizes on everything.

This, not counting the typo, is still not accurate. The vast, vast majority of Total Recalls were sent rolled, although they did send a single folded copy of the regular version, which was DS and completely unusable. We did not get the poster through normal channels - I believe that it was part of some press package, hence the reason for the folds. At that point in time, we hadn't received a single folded poster from anyone in nearly two years and this was the last folded poster my theater received. Beyond that, the studio ran a promotion at the time selling SS copies of both the adv and regular versions to anyone who wanted to buy one. I have no idea if they were any different that what they sent to theaters, but I'd doubt it... To answer the other question, Twin Peaks:Fire Walk was the last 27x41 poster that I dealt with by a good margin and New Line was the last studio holding on to that size by at least 6 months to a year.

The vast, vast majority of Total Recalls were sent rolled... I wouldn't be so sure about that. Look it up on ebay now. There are 16 final versions for sale; 10 rolled and 6 folded.

Nit picking aside, the real point is that nobody can make a blanket statement about size or folded/rolled posters during the first half of the 1990s. You need to research each individual poster.
