Rosa, should you ever make it stateside around Christmas, let me know.

We have a yearly Christmas party called 'Merry Christmas 1963' and literally change our entire house to that period. The bar tender serves drinks famous in that period, guests arrive in their 60s best...its a great time. You would probably dig it.

I'm sorry, but did someone say 'Olinka Berova?'

This is mine and I'd never leave it on the floor.

Ted, did you ever consider that Olinka might enjoy it on the floor?   whip

With two kids under 4, this pile of posters on the table is the new "floor" for me!

What you are looking at here is a stack of 234 Hungarian posters!  There are about 50-ish A2s sitting on top of roughly 180-ish A1s, and a single A3 for Catch-22 as a cherry on top.  Can't wait to go through this stack!  Still working on my website, the goal is by the end of the year... stay tuned!

I was photographing front and back and took 3 pics of each to make sure focus, exposure, etc was on in at least one. The longest delay is waiting for the flashes to recharge between shots and then changing the poster out on the vacuum board. Once I get my rhythm I'm guessing around 30-40 an hour?  The first couple are always very slow while I'm aligning the camera, metering for exposure, adjusting flashes and reflectors, etc...

I'll time it next time I'm up there.

30-40 an hour.... Your some machine Matt, a few hours a week, I may be done by 2016... ;)

I'm guessing Magnets will maybe a bit longer than your fancy table.

I may have to set my site off with some crappy pics and change as I go...

If you are happy with your colors and the jpegs that come out of the camera, then you are done.  But for me, I go to the RAW files and still do a fair bit of post processing in something like GIMP, photoshop, lightroom, etc...

1. Figure of if any skew adjustments are needed (they almost always are) and record the correction as an "action" in Photoshop.  Apply this action to all the images from that session using batch processing and then everything will be nice and square.
2. Adjust white balance, sharpening, noise reduction, etc... apply as batch to all the images.
3. Make individual adjustments to exposure/white-level/black-level for each image.
4. Crop each image.
5. Export spiffy clean jpegs for web use.

Here is an example of an exported image after all the corrections:

For a Few Dollars More Japanese B2

You can zoom in and still read the copyright info on the Kodak grey card along the left side!  Not bad for a 16MP sensor.  I appear to be getting even better detail than in HA's super size images

While it sure seems to be a lot of effort, no doubt it will be worth it to document everything properly
