First rate Ted, it makes you think....would more people go to the cinema if they were enticed in this way.

Or do we just need better films to be made. ;D

Paul, movies today are geared towards the under 25 crowd mostly with edges up to under 35 and mostly male.
That's why so much of what we see are bang bang shoot-em-up movies for these post-pubescent mental midgets. I believe there are quite a few of them in Chicago

Not sure, Paul.

Movie ballyhoo is still around, but we can always use better films.

Does anyone have one of these?

The movie was lame, but the Surfer is one of my favorite comic book characters.
This would look nice in the den (if I had a den).

That Silver Surfer is pretty sweet.  I do appreciate that film companies still pull out all the stops and make displays like that every once in a while.  Does anyone remember the 20' tall Mighty Joe Young gorilla back in 98?  They had two here in Denver and had to pre-measure lobbies to fit it in.  The Lost World had a few special theaters where they went in and installed strobe lights for a special version of the preview with lightning.  Pixar put out the life sized Sully and Mike statues and life size Bruce and Marlin statue for Nemo.  We have the last two here at work.  I'll try and post some pics.

How cool would that be, to find that very one, and know for sure, it was THE SAME COPY.

Perhaps more "Searching" should begin.   :D

Saw a bus today, sorry no pic, whole bus side was a giant jack the giant killer or whatever the movie is, Mel would have had an orgasm all over the windshield.

Boris was asked to help publicise the film, they wanted him to do some personal appearances, with some photo's, Boris agreed, saying "I'll do it as long as I don't have to see the dam thing". As much as I know where he was coming from, I do think this time he was wrong, as I love the film as do many others...  :D
