A lot of people think it doesn't make sense or something, I dunno, as for the 9th gate, I was thinking today I would buy a BR player for that film alone. Found my one sheet today and will put it on my wall this week, that's one f the movies that squeezes into my top five. Superb.

Thanks Paul but sadly the Life Force is not the quad but a landscape medium size Frenchie.

Ari I could watch you post all week. I do appreciate the effort. A special thanks to T for his Bieber.

Zorba, your posters are great.   thumbup  Not sure why you felt the need to wait.  My favorite that I don't have is the Joe Kidd with Clint drinking a beer.  That is soooo Clint Eastwood.  And my favorites that I do have some paper on is the Excalibur Quad and you Apocalypse Now posters.

All nice, my pick though would be the 4th one... Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Babes... I like it  ;D

Just in time for Christmas this one arrived! A French large one, for the Swedish film BREAKING POINT which was the follow-up to the notorious THRILLER A CRUEL PICTURE! The art is by Swedish/Swiss artist Hans Arnold. The Swedish one-sheet is even more desirable and has the same image, but has so far eluded me...

Well, looking back at 2012, while I acquired less than 100 posters I must say that almost every one of them was a hand-picked favorite.
Most importantly for me though is that I got most of them from you collectors right here at APF.  Some were gifts, some were trades and some were found by leads that you all found for me. That interaction with you people has made this my most satisfying year in movie poster collecting ever.

Matias found me this awesome VAMPIRE LOVERS one sheet from Argentina.

I really wanted this version because it included Peter Cushing as the General.
Thanks again, Matias.  You are Argentina's ambassador to the poster world.  ;D

Mike (m154cath) got me this bitchin' quad from the FIFTH ELEMENT.

Mike also sent me this UK teaser one sheet from one of my favorite Terry Gilliam films.
Check out the description for Adolphus.

Thanks Mike, and I do have some posters almost ready to ship to you.  thumbup

Schan (Kovacs) gifted me this beautiful B1 for SAMURAI RESURRECTION.  Thanks again, big guy!

Goremeister Steven swapped me this direct-to-video beauty which has eluded me for years.
As I had input into it's genesis, it meant a lot to me to get one.

(Thank you Schan for use of your photo.  thumbup)

Tob has been tracking down quads for me all year long.  Whatta guy!
Here's a few of the modern gems he has sent me.  I love 'em all. A BIG thanks Tob!

(Thanks to Mike (m154cath) for use of this photo.)

Tom (angelflyover) is one of the nicest gentlemen in the hobby and I correspond with him frequently.
Holiday pointed me in his direction for these DS teasers and although I couldn't afford them, Tom sent them along
and we ended up with a mutually satisfying trade.
When Tom says 'mint' and 'safely packaged' he means it. Thanks Tom!  thumbup

Matt (Harry Caul) got this teaser for me from another Gilliam favorite of mine.

He also has a classic, bad-girl one sheet he is holding for me.
Thanks, Doc, for all the good cheer!  cheers

Wim (Mondo Hazardo) found these two beauties, as scarce as they are cool.
He remembered that I was looking for them and kept me in mind.
My only posters from the Netherlands.  A hundred thanks, sir!

Brandon (NeoLoco) Christmas gifted this beauty to me.  Easily one of my favorites for this year or any other.
I know, I know...I just posted this a few days ago, but it is so cool I think it deserves repeat viewing.

Ves (theartofmovieposters) is easily one of the most thoughtful and generous members of this or any other hobby.
While I have few daybills, Aussie one sheets are my favorites.  I dig the uniqueness of their designs and the quality of printing.
Here are some of the many she has tracked down for me over the year.

(This CITY OF LOST CHILDREN is an American one sheet.)

and this classic daybill...

Ves even went so far as to do the Mondo-drop torture for me because she knew I was going to be out when this one hit.

How cool is that?  My first Mondo.
Thanks a gazillion for all the paper, Ves!   bed1

Then, there's Anthony (DisheveledAmethyst).  Anthony works a cinema up in Maine.
Between his studies, his woman and his job, he still finds time to keep me flush with modern beauties.
I told him we miss his posts (he's a damn fine writer) and he promises to return when time permits.

Here's just a few of the posters he has sent me this year.

So, while I was piss-poor this year and didn't think I'd be able to afford even a stinking Mexican Lobby Card, I had one of my best years collecting.
Thank you one and all!

Thanks, Matt...but it didn't end there....

Armin (posteroid) wrangled me this cool Japanese WOLFEN.

In addition to having made so many great friends on this forum, I would be remiss in not showing off some of the great stuff I acquired from
Bruce (Emovieposter), Rich (MoviePosterBid) and Sean and Peter (MoviePosterExchange).
These guys all share a lot in common.
Not only do they get great pieces out to us poster whores, but they are honest, fast, helpful and always ship safe and secure (and they provide great pics of the posters they auction).
They have become cornerstones in our hobby and it is always a pleasure to deal with them.
Here's some of the posters I won at auction (dirt cheap) from them this year.

Thanks Bruce for
Julie Ege in a fur bikini by Arnaldo Putzu.

The INSECT WOMAN from Germany

Tawny Kitaen as GWENDOLINE.

Four hot babes by Robert McGinnis.

and an extremely pretty German AO

Thanks Rich for this trio of half-sheet bad girls!

Jeanne Crain

Ruth Roman

Linda Christian

Thanks Sean and Peter for these vintage gems!

I was also lucky to get some awesome posters from Fleabay -- dirt cheap (I rarely have the pennies to up the opening bid.)

Like I said, it has been my best year ever as a movie poster collector.
 cheers  bed1 cheers
