Chris, it may be.

The size wasn't noted, so it certainly could be the much smaller herald format. Trying to dig and find a little more info.  ;)

Here's an interesting foreign poster for the 1925 version of Phantom of the Opera. I know nothing about it, but the fact that it lacks any credit info (aside from the old Universal logo), is rather intriguing. The phantom character, too, mimics Chaney, but is not him. Perhaps this is a much newer poster  for a later release or local screening of the film?

Uh.................really??  There's no way this piece of shit would be any original foreign poster for "The Phantom of the Opera"

That is why it was suggested in the first post that this could be something a lot more recent, for a local screening, as well.

The "Phantom of the Opera" is probably a flyer or even a print ad for the first screenings in Spain.  The "Super Joya Universal" was used for the 'coming soon' newspaper ads in late '25, and it looks like the film was actually released in January of '26.  Other ads are similar and much more revealing of the Phantom, unlike the US material.  Couldn't find this exact image though.

Thanks for the info, Peter. Considering, too, that contractually, Chaney's image could not be shown in any publicity material, it makes perfect sense that the figure on this flyer or ad, with its skeletal face, bears slight resemblance to him. The face on the flyer actually may have been influenced by Andre Castaigne's original watercolor illustrations from the 1910 book publication (as was Chaney's makeup):

When i first saw the flyer image, its composition reminded me, in feel, of this style of the US 6sh, with the phantom cowering over the opera house:

Actual color 16mm film (Karloff home movies), shot of Karloff on set, during the filming of SON OF FRANKENSTEIN. The crew working outside the widow is an added, behind the scenes touch:

When I spoke to Sara about this several years back, she said there was about four and a half minuets of this footage in total. Plus a wealth of other footage which was mainly private home movies.
I asked her if there was any chance of releasing, even just the rest of the "Son of" Colour footage. She said No, not in her life time, but after that who knows....  Such a shame for us fans of Uncle Boris..

What was Universal's reasoning behind the Tom Selleck pelt again?

Going from memory Chris, Rowland V Lee thought it would be more likely they would dress up warm with "Hunting" most nights....

Something to check for next time ...
If you watch the beginning of Ghost of Frankenstein, when Ygor gets the Monster out of the Sulphur pit he has the same jacket on, but the boiling Sulphur had burned all the hair off it. He then turns up at Vasaria with a new Monster suit, and had a wash and brush up...  I'd love to have seen that scene where The Monster and Ygor go shopping, and get cleaned up...???

Check out this MUMMY cut out display, in England, mounted on the marquee of the Capitol Theatre. Karloff's name (Karloff The Uncanny) can just be made out above the film's title:
