I guess I get to put the first post here.  I'm happy with this B2 for Man and a Woman.

I really go for the main images, especially romantic ones like this.  Somehow it seems to me that the Japanese poster designers are better at this.  The best examples I have are the two-panel Japanese posters.  Typically, they have the main theme on top and then images like that car on the bottom, so that one is not distracted in the different areas. With the B2, they have to cram more into the smaller space.

I have noticed that they can seem to get a little busy at the bottoms .. That seems to be a culture thing though .. I think I read recently that even Google had changed their main page to be more pleasing to the Japanese .. I forgot to look at it when I read that .. But apparently it has a lot more "stuff" than the plain google site we all have come to know so well ..

As for this piece .. I would love just a full poster of her face .. Its really stunning actually!

What a great poster, Carson.  I have the one pictured below.  The Clash may be the greatest band that has ever existed, and at the least, London Calling is one of the greatest albums ever made.

Holy crap you're good, Ves.  It is indeed!  Would you believe I picked this up as part of a lot of b2's, and basically paid 3 bucks for it.  It is, to say the least, an awesome find.

Same with mine.  I wish I could find the Joy Division poster in a B1. I've only managed the B2.   Angry

awesome London Calling carson....in agreement it's probably one of the best albums of all time. I used to get my little to sleep through repeatedly playing 'right profile'.

I've been wanting this for a while and snagged this one from movieposterbargains for $50.  (Yes, the infamous Greg Egbert!) It's been rumored only 500 of these "looking down" versions were printed but I believe that is grossly underestimated - probably 5,000 of these floating around.

This is positively an original. The reverse has the special yellow coloring on the ring to make it "pop" in a lightbox.  Now I need to get a lightbox!

This is absolutely correct.
Dealers who propagate stories about limited runs on posters like this
either don't know how it works or are simply trying to substantiate the myth.

There is no question that overall this version is harder to find than the other, but
500? No way.

Hey Phil:

I really like that Suburban Mayhem poster I got from you.  Since it is an Australian movie, I bet there are less than 500 of those floating around. What do you estimate was the print run?

I'll try to get a fairly accurate number on that, so I'll ask.
Probably one of the hottest collected one sheets for an Australian movie
and thanks to its design, will have legs.

I've just had in some new one sheets, and the poster
for the Lars Von Trier film, ANTICHRISTO (ANTICHRIST) was also done
by Jeremy Saunders (who did MAYHEM).

It's a powerful image, particularly if you have seen the film.

For the most part, I think all large format, b1 Japanese material is somewhat rare from the perspective of other types of posters that are out there.  You can pick this image up in the smaller b2 format pretty easily.  But so far, this is the only B1 that I've seen turn up.
