Yes, you'll have to redo the formatting, Erich.

I'll take care of it... I think I can just quote Jeannie's update and make adjustments.

That's what I was trying to do and it disappeared.

Oh well, thanks for taking care of this.

You are right, you can't quote a quote...  Whoever is next, quote this message, remove the quote tags, and then add your updates.  Wash, rinse and repeat...

So, at the risk of sounding really stupid... what do you do with them?

I mean, I've always used long wooden baguettes to take pictures of posters.  Are paper weights better or do you use them for something else?

Whoa, I'm just getting them to hold down the corners of posters.  Not sure what sort of kinky things you had in mind....

Thierry, for illustration please see the picture in the first post in this thread.  They're good for holding down poster edges when taking pics.  Can't say if it's better than your method, but they look nice to me.

The only thing more amazing about the 4 pages of this thread are the posts at NS4 about a period "."

But the " . " isn't just any " . " .

It's an exclamatory " . " of conciliation.  A peace offering.  An olive branch.  Because Chris is just too darn nice and has to be so Canadianly polite.

And this has got to be the fastest growing thread on APF yet.... and it's about paperweights to hold down our posters so that we can take pretty pictures of them.

Bah, this thread is 90% logistics.  Cut out those and this would be a half page at best.  Now, if we all started to seriously ponder T's question of "what is so special about paperweights"... Then this thread might really have a chance at growing!

What is so special about paperweights?

And, I would appreciate a pros and cons debate on crystal vs. acrylic as the best material to be used on our posters.  Plus, if y'all wouldn't mind, I'd like to hear everyone's rationale for rectangular vs. round weights.

See, just look at how horrible this looks with bad paper weights:

Pay no attention to the owner of the image, or else this thread will really go off the rails.
