I finally ordered a couple of hangers from this vendor. I quite like them - very elegant and easy to use. The website explains how they work. But they're not cheap - $40 for the 50 inch and $50 for the 60 inch hanger (shipping is free). Only vendor to my knowledge selling these large sizes.

Hmm... I'm thinking Macgyver could make these out of 4 yard sticks 2 paper clips, and a piece gum for about 4.50.

All y'all mockers with closets full of rarely-viewed large posters in tubes - I'll have the last laugh. With these poster hangers it took me 3 minutes from start to finish to get this bus shelter poster that I stole from a bus shelter - er, I mean bought off Ebay - up on the wall:

Not sure what you're referencing by "grindhouse" but your comment gives me an excuse to show off my new "grindhouse" wall (alternative title: "Brad Pitt's harem"):

Yes, you're correct - only DeathProof really qualifies as "grindhouse" but the correct description - "movies featuring copious quantities of gratuitous violence" - is a little wordy....

The cool thing with these hangers, too, is that any poster almost has the look of a Chinese or Japanese scroll (especially with the black aluminum). Looks great!

Well, I am a genre nazi, and no its not, grindhouse refers to a specific era when certain cinemas played cheap films and the film makers "grinded" them out Deathproof is a tribute to the era, but I'll wager it never played at a grindhouse theatre, if any exist anymore. They weren't even called grindhouse at the time, its a new catch phrase. Its a mainstream movie, that pays homage to a long gone era of low budget shockers, If a movie plays at your local multiplex, it AINT grindhouse. (sorry as i said I am a genre Nazi)

I'm telling you dudes these poster hangers were a great deal. They have "opened the door" to larger posters, which are LESS popular than the smaller sizes, so you can get some really good deals. Just picked up this 40x60 Saturday Night Fever from Heritage for $40 and I'm going to get more bus shelters, Italian four panels, etc:

Nice taste in posters Ron! Here is my copy of the same poster... Mine is framed, but I did it myself on the cheap (~$350).

Thanks, Harry! Yours looks great. I've toyed with the idea of making larger frames, since a large portion of my collection consists of oversized French and Italian items, but I'm worried I'd screw it up and just end up wasting time and money. And I'm too cheap to pay $1000 or more to have it professionally done. I still may give it a try one day. Loved the tour of your house in that other thread, too. Some nice stuff there. ron
