Bruce, is this just fodder for your post, or are you seriously considering a FOURTH auction ?

Would that be wrong?

OR, was this a clever way to get me to post too many times, and be chastised again?

We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.
We have auctioned more movie paper for more money (in real sales) than any auction in the world.
We have the longest continuously running auctions of any auction, with over 1,914,280 to date from over 3,192 consignors.
See all of our current auctions in one gallery here: http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/all.html

If I could get the material and the employees needed, I would have SEVEN nights of auctions!

Each one would be based on a different type of collectible.

Because we auction everything with no reserve (for real), we don't need any knowledge of what we auction. Just describe them honestly and provide the needed images.

That sounds a departure from auctions based on size like oversize, folded, or rolded

I think a Friday night auction would be fun.  Probably lucrative too, people tend to get paid and lose their marbles on fridays.

I can assure you, even though it is Friday afternoon here, I have not lost my marbles in considering working for the forward thinking poster company eMoviePoster. Choosing the name eMoviePoster was in itself visionary now that movie posters are indeed transitioning from paper to electronic Movie Posters. Thankyou for considering my application, where do I sign up?

John Wayne is not only an icon of the movies, but he also made at least one movie every single year he appeared in the movies (except for his tiny uncredited roles at the very start)!

So we have prepared a gallery of head shot images of him from one movie each year, starting with 1930's The Big Trail through 1976's The Shootist, so you can see exactly how he aged through the years (we also included an image of him when he appeared with Barbara Walters in 1979 on her special, shortly before his passing).

Visit Through The Years: John Wayne (from 1930 to 1979) here: http://www.emovieposter.com/images/announcements/tty/waynejohn/

From the Newstand to the Silver Screen! Go to http://www.emovieposter.com/club/staticpages/newsstand2screen/ for a gallery of examples of comic book or pulp magazine characters that were adapted into Hollywood movies (there is an example of a comic book or pulp magazine) side by side with a movie poster image from the movie starring that character.

Want to see a lot more movie poster images from any of these titles? Go to our Auction History at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/archive.html and type in the titles, and on most of them, you will find from a few to lots of images! Click on any of the images to see a much larger image, and if you have any examples that are not represented on this page, let us know so we can add them.

That happens a fair amount in these kinds of bulk lots. They mostly all sell to dealers, anyhoo.

Suggestion (yes I am biased).

Have something to counter the lobby/still/lot auctions in one of the weekly spots. The rolled from any country , one sheet, or even large format are good counters. Half sheet , insert, lobby, still, lot , misc stuff gives me nothing to look at for 4 auctions straight now. That's terrible!

Not everyone has deep pockets or a willingness to pore over 1,000 items, three times a week.

A lot of people LIKE the idea of having "a week off"!

I will try to find stuff to interest you soon, but in the meantime, have you considered expanding the areas you collect in?  thumbsup.gif

P.S. I sure hope this wasn't a trick to get me to make "too many posts" and get me in trouble again!

I am tending to not as often look through the auctions as I only now seem to find stuff I like in the mini majors. Either my tastes have change or more goodies (I like) are no longer making it in the weekly auctions

6a350 STAR WARS HEALTH DEPARTMENT POSTER 14x22 special '77 is actually the 1979 reissue of this poster. It is clearly dated 1979 on the bottom left corner area.

And 6a282 CARAVAN OF COURAGE style B int'l 1sh seems to be missing its photo.

We want everyone to know and it is easier to do it anywhere in this forum or on other forums, anywhere but EMP email. You see, we get kudos here.

One way for EMP to win this battle is for poster slueths to submit as requested the corrections but have a tally board on EMP of contributors names with a kudos count next to each name. That way we can still be famous to the world... I think I deserve to hit the tally with 3 kudos points to start with for this solution.

Do YOU know about our Auction History Database, located at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/archive.html? It is a searchable history of our past sales including almost all of the images from those sales.

Every item in this archive actually sold, and actually sold for the price listed, and was paid for to the consignor (which is NOT true of any other online sales results database we know of).

It currently contains 1,223,268 results and 1,173,443 images, and every week it grows by around 3,000 more results and images!

Whether you want the most accurate and comprehensive "price guide" to movie paper you own (or would like to buy), or whether you just want to "window shop" well over a million images, this is the database for you.

But please know that it can and likely will become addictive, so please use it in moderation!
