Yesterday's Part I of our December Major Auction took in $153,944.00, and brought eMoviePoster.com to over $5 million in annual sales ($5,052,057.00, to be exact), and that means we are very likely to break our all-times sales record, set in 2015!

Part II of eMoviePoster.com's December Major Auction ends in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html! It contains 456 non-backed rolled posters and linenbacked oversized posters (and a lot of the posters are NOT from movies, despite our name).

Normally, we try to somewhat segregate the posters in each part of our major auction (so that bidders can better focus on what interests them), but this Part II has a REALLY wide assortment of very different types of posters, and the only common denominator is that they are rare and desirable!

This is because we were consigned some amazing collections that join together to form a "super auction"! What are some of these?
1) An amazing collection of 85 Polish posters at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/nation%253APoland/sort/4/13.html. Almost all of these come from a single collector who recently passed away. He assembled them over many years, and you might get the idea they are somewhat "common" from seeing so many great ones, but most of these are ones we have only auctioned one, two or three times before, and a number of them we have NEVER auctioned before. And most of these are the "best of the best" (as is evident when you look them over).

2) A remarkable collection of 71 rare German posters at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/nation%253AGermany/13.html. These mostly came from an archive that acquired them decades ago, and most are from the 1920s and 1930s. German posters from before WWII have always been among the most rare posters there are (because of massive paper shortages there, when they literally recycled almost all old paper), and again, you might get the mistaken idea that are somewhat "common" from seeing so many great ones, but most of these are ones we have NEVER auctioned before, and many have really wonderful images (most advertise specific events).

3) There are smaller collections from Italy (40 at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/tag/nation%253AItaly/sort/4/13.html), Japan (31 at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/nation%253AJapan/13.html), the United Kingdom (30 at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/nation%253AU.K./13.html), the Czech Republic (24 at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/nation%253ACzech%2520Republic/13.html), France (23 at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/tag/nation%253AFrance/13.html), and smaller collections from Spain, Belgium, and 14 other countries!. Most of these posters are also extremely rare, many are "country of origin", and most have great images!

4) This Part II also contains 100 excellent U.S. posters, from all decades! There are 23 one-sheets, 21 three-sheets, 5 six-sheets, 17 inserts, 5 half-sheets, and many other sizes. They are of all types and genres, and the only thing they all have in common is that they are all rare and desirable!

5) Linenbacked posters! Part I contained all of the linenbacked posters that ship in regular tubes, and this Part II contains those that ship in tubes over 32 inches wide. These offer even more sensational values than the ones from Part I, because, being larger, these often cost $200 to $500 to linenback, and many of these are currently WAY under the cost of linenbacking alone (as of this writing, there are 39 under $100 each, and many of those are a tiny fraction of what the owner paid to have it backed)!

DO YOU LIKE TO GET REALLY GREAT "DEALS"? Then you will surely want to closely look over these 456 non-backed rolled posters and linenbacked oversized posters, because currently, with just a few HOURS left until these start to close, there are an astonishing EIGHTY THREE posters that are under just $25 each and ONE HUNDRED SIXTY TWO under just $50 each!

Remember that we have NO reserves or buyers premiums (so EVERY poster will really have a new owner when each auction ends, at exactly the final bid price, plus the actual cost of shipping), and we also have honest condition grading, and unenhanced super-sized images of every item (especially important when you are buying items that have been restored, and must trust the honesty of the auction house).

That is why it is SO important that not only DON'T we have "Buyer Beware" (which every other auction house falls back on, which means YOU are stuck when THEY make a mistake, intentional or accidentally), but what we DO have is that we stand behind everything we auction, with a lifetime guarantee on all we auction (something NO other auction offers), so you can bid and buy with confidence.

All of our 44,000+ past buyers from our 1,382,000+ completed auctions over the past 27 years (and over 75 million dollars in sales) KNOW that we always do exactly what we say we will, whether you spend five dollars or five thousand dollars!

Please go to the above link right away and I think you will find the current bid prices on these great (and rare) posters of every kind irresistible. There are almost surely going to be great buys made, but YOU can't get them if you aren't bidding! Best of luck to those of you who bid on these Part II items closing in a few hours.
We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.
We have auctioned more movie paper for more money (in real sales) than any auction in the world.
We have the longest continuously running auctions of any auction, with over 1,914,280 to date from over 3,192 consignors.

Bought from EMP forever. But I consigned for the first time this past Halloween auction. Two went for market and the other went for double what I expected.

Congrats on a record year!

Part III of eMoviePoster.com's December Major Auction ends in HOURS today starting at 7 PM CST at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html and it is a "major auction" all by itself!

It contains 298 WONDERFUL movie paper items of EVERY imaginable type (all of which ship in boxes or flat packages, because all of the "roll-able" stuff was in the first two parts), and you really won't believe how great the selection is.

I won't waste a bunch of words describing what is there, because I want you to simply go to the above link and see for yourself!

While some of these extremely desirable rarities are currently deservedly at high prices, there are also a LOT with low current bid prices (as of this writing, 78 of the items are under $50, so they are well within the reach of every collector). Best of luck to those of you who bid on these great Part III items closing in just a few hours.

Just a few hours left until the 594 great Walt Disney items AND the 198 great Star Wars items in the final Part IV of eMoviePoster.com's December Major Auction starts to close at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html!

You won't believe the selection in either section! And while the top items in each section will likely sell for high amounts (and deservedly so, since there are many super desirable AND rare items), there are also many items that are currently at very LOW prices (in both parts combined, there are, as of this writing, 121 items at just $1 and 296 at just $1 to $5 each)!

But YOU can't get those deals if you aren't bidding, so why not go to the above link right now? Just about all of these make wonderful gifts (since what kid, or kid at heart, doesn't like a LOT of Disney or Star Wars movies) so these are well worth looking over even if you personally don't think you have that much interest in them (and you may find you change your mind when you start looking them over!).

Not yet registered? Go here: https://auctions.emovieposter.com/Registration.taf Have friends who might be interested? Let them know about this special event! Best of luck to those of you who bid in this final Part IV of our December Major Auction.

eMoviePoster.com has  999 non-U.S. posters closing in HOURS at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/13.html! The current bid prices on them are almost all so low that they qualify as being WELL below wholesale! You likely know that non-U.S. posters like these often have great completely different images from the corresponding U.S. one-sheets, and that sometimes they sell for bargain prices.

But the current bid prices on these 999 closing in hours are mostly SO incredibly low that not only are they mostly below the cost of repros, but they are mostly well under the cost of gift-wrap, so you could buy many of these and use them that way, but to us that would be a sin! Why are the prices so low? Maybe this is because many bidders are "wiped out" after out just-concluded December Major Auction (which took in $543,000!), or maybe they are distracted by the holidays, but whatever the reason, this is absolutely an incredible buying opportunity.

Of special note in the auctions closing today are incredible selections of posters from Eastern Europe, including 151 from Poland, 108 from Russia, 41 from the Czech Republic, 36 from East Germany, and more. Plus great offerings of 150 Italian posters, 133 from Japan, 122 from Belgium, 63 from Denmark and many, many more (in all, 39 countries are represented, so this truly IS "the world of movie posters".

So if you have never bought any non-U.S. posters before (or only bought a few) , this would be a great time to start collecting them more seriously, because we are almost giving many of them away. Not only are they almost all WAY below where the same (or similar) posters have sold for in the past, but they are often many times below what any dealer would ask for the same items (which is why, if there is not a lot more bidding, it will likely mostly be dealers who buy these, to re-sell at a large profit, which is easy to do, because we give any buyer, on request, an unwatermarked image, so they can add them to their site or eBay with no work at all).

Think I am exaggerating about how low the current bid prices are? There are 417 that are at $1 (121 have no bid at all, so a single $1 bid could possibly win those!), and OVER HALF are at $1 to $4! And these are honest no reserve auctions, where every item really starts at $1, and really sells to the highest bidder (and we have no "buyers premiums", so "$1" is REALLY $1, and NOT "$1, plus $19 buyers premium").

Plus, no matter how many of these you buy today, the U.S. shipping is just $12, even if you get 100 of them (actual cost anywhere else). And using our "Pay and Hold" system, you can get all you want over a three week period (six weeks outside the U.S.) and you pay just $12 U.S. shipping for everything as long as it fits in one package safely. And you can pay for your purchases entirely within our "Checkout 2.0", which works with "Pay and Hold" orders, which saves you a fortune on shipping!

But whether you are buying to add to your collection at super low prices, or whether you are buying for resale, you can't get these hard-to-believe bargains if you aren't bidding, and you can't look over 999 items right before they close, so why not go right now to the above link and start checking these out? We are certain you will be amazed at the low, low current bid prices!

Want to give (or receive) a unique holiday present? eMoviePoster.com has 996 auctions of "special" rolled posters (signed art prints, war & travel posters plus much, much more!), which close in HOURS today starting at 7 PM CST at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html

Even if you have never previously purchased a single one of these "non-standard" posters, you are liable to be very interested in these auctions. Why? Because this is one of the absolute most "fun" set of auctions we do! There is a wonderful variety of all sorts of "odd" posters (some connected to movies, but not standard movie posters, and many that have no connection to movies at all).

This is where we auction war, travel, and music posters, among many other categories of posters. We have over 150 "old" posters from the 1950s and earlier, plus 177 posters from 2000 and newer, including great limited edition prints (many signed and numbered) and everything in-between! Around 600 of the posters are from the U.S., and the other 400 or so are from 31 countries all over the world!

There are so many unusual types of posters that we HIGHLY recommend that all of you make an effort to look at all of these posters in our gallery format at the above link (and you are sure to enjoy doing so, even if you end up not buying any, and solely "window shop")!

And you will likely be astounded by how "affordable" most of these 996 special posters are! With just 12 hours left as of this writing, there are still 448 at just $1 each (194 have no bid at all, so a $1 bid could take those!), and 591 are just $1 to $5 each, so they are well within the reach of EVERY collector, and I will be amazed if everyone, collector or not, can't find at least a few posters they would love to display on their walls (or give as unique presents to friends that sure beat traditional presents)!

If you want to collect posters just for the fun and enjoyment of owning and displaying these cool posters (with little thought towards "investing") then THIS is the set of auctions for you, for you can surely buy a bunch of these without putting much of a dent in your wallet (and if you buy them for just a dollar or a few dollars each, you literally could tack them to the wall, just as you did when you were a teen!).

Of course, there ARE quite a few really rare and wonderful posters in this set of auctions as well (there are currently 15 posters over $100, and that number is sure to rise quite a bit as the time left shortens), but currently the vast majority of those are FAR under the prices that dealers ask for them, which shows that rarity does not always translate to "expensive", at least not in eMoviePoster.com auctions, where every item TRULY starts at $1 with no reserve or those dreadful buyers premiums ($19 minimum or otherwise) which turn many good buys into not good buys at all!

But please go to http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html very soon, and start looking these over, because it takes a while to look over this many extremely varied posters, and starting in just a few hours at 7 PM CST these will all be going, going, GONE, and there are sure to be great deals (and probably many outright "steals"), but you can't get those if you aren't bidding!
We (eMoviePoster.com) hold 2,500 to 4,000 auctions every four weeks.

Are you a collector wanting to add to your collection at dirt-cheap prices, or a dealer wanting to get a bunch of inventory that you can quickly sell at MUCH higher prices (or both)?

eMoviePoster.com has 698 bulk lots containing 17,235 items in all at auction ending Sunday at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html, beginning at 3 PM CST.

This month's offering (we do an auction solely of "bulk lots" once a month) represents a great opportunity to get fantastic bargains on all types of movie paper, including a massive amount of folded and rolled one-sheets, lobby cards, stills, pressbooks, presskits, sheet musics and other items we usually have, plus much, much more.

But there is something EXTRA special about this month's offering. It contains a lot of lots filled with rare old pulp magazines (many are westerns, from the 1940s and 1950s), and also lots of lots of rare Dell paperback books (many are mapback mysteries) and also lots of lots of 1950s Hot Rod magazines (and other early car magazines).

These 698 bulk lots truly contain something for every collector, and dealers will love the UNDER wholesale prices on most of the lots! If YOU have ever wondered where dealers replenish their inventory, part of the answer is in these bulk lot auctions! Do you think I am exaggerating about how low the prices are?

Well, think again! As of right now, with two days to go, a truly unbelievable 424 of these lots are at just ONE dollar (170 of them have no bid at all, so right now a single $1 bid may take those), THREE QUARTERS are at $1 to $5, and the rest are almost all currently at FAR under low wholesale prices (in fact, a high percentage of them are at just pennies per item, because so many contain a LOT of items!).

Remember that on OUR auctions there are NO buyers premiums, so $1 is REALLY $1, and NOT "$1, plus $19 buyers premium", and with these bulk lots, you pay only the actual cost of shipping them to you (plus $3 for packing materials) and we WILL combine your purchases into as few packages or tubes as possible!

Whether you would be buying these to add to your collection at joke low prices, or whether you would be buying to re-sell online, or through a store or at collectible shows, you will likely never get a chance to get greater bargains! If you ARE planning on re-selling them, know that upon request, we will provide the buyer of any lot (but only the buyer!) with unwatermarked large images of every item you purchased, which means you can save a ton of time and get the items quickly listed on eBay or to your site!

Unlike many sellers of bulk lots, we at eMoviePoster.com always picture EVERY single item in every bulk lot, so you always know exactly what you will be receiving, and just how great a deal each bulk lot is at the price you pay! If YOU want to take advantage of these unbelievably low-priced bulk lots, then you need to visit the above link soon.

Remember that it takes a while to look at over 17,000 items in 698 lots, so if you can, start looking over these right now. But if you can't look until later, please be sure to do so, even if it is right before they close, because beginning at 3 PM CST they will all be going, going, GONE, and every lot will truly have a new owner, no matter how low the price!

eMoviePoster.com has an excellent group of 999 title and scene lobby cards (just under half from the 1940s and earlier!) closing in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html and yet there are somehow currently still ONE QUARTER of them at just $1, and ONE HALF at just $1 to $4 (and we have no "buyers premiums", so "$1" is REALLY $1, and NOT "$1, plus $19 buyers premium")!

And it is not just those lowest priced half of these cards that represent incredible deals. All through the rest of the other half of the cards that are over just $4 you will find ones that are WAY under where the same or similar cards have sold for in the past (and we are talking amazing discounts, like $50 cards at $10, $100 cards at $20, and so on). And at the top end, there are lots and lots of rare cards where posters are either super-rare or super-expensive or both, so a lobby card may be your only way to have that title in your collection!

Are you only interested (or mostly interested) in a specific genre, star, studio, or decade? Don't forget to use our "Search Filters" which are located to the left of our auction galleries. For example, in the case of these lobby card auctions, they include 20 cards from John Wayne films, and you can see just those 20 by clicking on the Search Filter that says "John Wayne" and then you will just see those 20 cards, in our gallery format!

You can do the same thing for the 21 cards from Barbara Stanwyck films, the 16 cards from Boris Karloff films, the 111 horror/sci-fi cards, the 146 cowboy western cards, the 62 horror/sci-fi cards, the 55 film noir cards, the 112 cards from the 1930s (or the 346 cards from the 1940s), and on and on! Using these Search Filters well makes your time spent in our galleries FAR more productive, and once you get used to them, you won't know how you ever lived without them (and there is NO other auction site that has similar Search Filters that work like ours do!).

But please, if you can't look at these cards right now, then don't put off visiting the above link for too long, because it takes a while to look over this many fine cards (many currently at joke low prices), and in just a few hours they will all be going, going, GONE!

"What lies ahead for eMoviePoster.com in 2018?

As can be seen in our image, we at eMoviePoster.com previously had our all-time best sales year of $5,203,042.00 in 2015.

That took a massive amount of work, and at the end of 2015, I vowed that we would "take it easier" in 2016, and I set our sales goal for the year at $4.5 million (the first time I ever intentionally did not try to increase sales year over year!).

But that ended up changing quite a bit when we received a flood of new consignments in 2016, and we ended the year at $4,971,785.00! But once again we worked really hard in 2016, and once again I vowed that we would "take it easier" in 2017, and I again set our sales goal for the year at $4.5 million.

But once again we received an even bigger flood of new consignments in 2017 (including four packed large trucks in one frantic two month period!), and that led to our amazing new sales record of $5,596,923.00!

So what lies ahead for eMoviePoster.com in 2018? I realize that this is in the hands of our consignors (both our 2,100+ existing ones, and the hundreds of new ones we are sure to get over this coming year)!

If we have many truck deliveries of entire collections from old-time collectors, and lots of other old-time collectors either trimming down their collections or selling them entirely, and if we continue to have major dealers decide to liquidate a substantial portion of their inventory through us (and some have consigned all they have, as they retire), then we will likely have another year like the past three!

But if instead the rate of consigning slows significantly, then we will indeed "take it easier" in 2018. What would that mean? The most likely possibility would be that we might go to holding Sunday auctions only every other week, instead of every week. Or we could eliminate them entirely. And instead of holding five major auctions in 2018, we might hold only four.

But of course it is just as possible that we may be even more flooded with new consignments in 2018 then ever before, and we may hold six major auctions, and we may start thinking of adding a fourth day of auctions each week.

As I said, this is entirely in the hands of our consignors, and we look forward to hearing from those who are looking to consign to us in 2018!"

Found it, just under $5.5m last year in sales.  Splendid.

Looking at your table of numbers, there were only five years since 2002 when there was a dip on the previous year.... Splendid stuff.

I could never forget you! Thanks for bringing up our record smashing year in the first place.

And it wasn't because we held more auctions (only 1,000 or so more than last year) and it wasn't because we had fewer crap items (only 1,000 or so fewer $1 to $19 auctions than last year).

And it wasn't because we had lots more really expensive items ($10,000+), because it was around the same as last year.

What caused our record smashing year was that we had a TON more $100+ posters than last year, and a LOT more $1,000+ posters than last year.

Thanks to those who contributed to our record smashing year!

I imagine you like buying one-sheet movie posters for next to nothing as much as the next fellow, and if so, you will LOVE eMoviePoster.com's current selection of 999 rolled (or formerly folded) one-sheets closing in hours at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/14.html, which includes lots of the best ones from the past 30 years and yet the current bid prices on many of them are hard to believe!

And you might be thinking that this set of auctions is solely comprised of "lesser" titles, but this is not at all true! There are 48 Star Wars posters at the start, a Jaws one-sheet in nice condition, Back to the Future, Nightmare on Elm Street, The Thing, and many other top titles.

Think I am exaggerating about how low the prices are? With just a few hours left (as of this writing), there are 407 of them at $1 (86 have no bid at all, so a single $1 bid might get those) and SIX HUNDRED TWENTY EIGHT of them are at just $1 to $5!

At these prices they cost less than wrapping paper (so you could get a bunch of these and use them that way, but to us that would be a sin). You could start a collection, or you could slap them on eBay at $9.99 each and make a bundle, or you could sell them from your website (we can provide buyers with unwatermarked giant images of their purchases, so that is super easy to do with virtually NO work on your part).

There is something unusual about this offering of unfolded one-sheets. They contain WAY more posters from this century (2000 on) than from the last century (1999 and before), and these "21st century posters" may prove to be the collectibles for the future, because 20 years from now, these will likely be the movies new collectors remember nostalgically!

But at THESE low, low prices you could certainly buy one or more from a recent movie you like and tack or tape it straight on your wall (just like you did when you were a teen) or you could give some as unique gifts to friends. These days, almost everything seems so expensive, but NOT most of these one-sheets!

And of course this set of auctions also contains lots of the very best posters from the past 30 years as well, as will be immediately evident when you look at the highest priced posters. So whether you are looking for great "recent" one-sheets or great bargains on those one-sheets, you will find plenty to interest you! So why not visit the above link right now?

eMoviePoster.com has a really excellent collection of 999 German programs and related items and Spanish heralds (including 24 English and German cigarette card albums) ending Sunday at 3 PM CST (NOT 7 PM like our Tuesday and Thursday auctions), and you can view and bid on them now at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/15.html.

Would YOU like to own first release movie paper collectibles from classic movies, but can't (or won't) spring for the giant bucks required to acquire U.S. posters or lobby cards? German programs and Spanish heralds can be a wonderful way to do so without putting much of any dent in your wallet!

We have 999 of them closing Sunday at http://www.emovieposter.com/agallery/sort/4/15.html and they include titles like "Frankenstein", "The Wizard of Oz", "The Freshman", "Casablanca", "The Man Who Laughs", and on and on, and even THOSE amazing titles cost relatively little, and most everything else is just a few dollars each!

Many of these are extremely rare, and of course the Spanish heralds often have great art not found on the posters of any other countries. Of special note is a group of German programs made DURING World War II, and there are also ones from BEFORE World War II, and these are unbelievably scarce (it is believed that most were lost during the war, when they were massive paper shortages in Germany, and old paper was recycled). Great rarities, great titles, and low, low prices! Who could ask for anything more?

There's even more! Included in this set of auctions are 24 English and German cigarette card albums (many of which contain complete sets of 100 or more cards!) and yet many of these may be able to be purchased for an insanely low price.

Plus, the auctions contain a bound volume of FILM-KURIER German programs which contains 50 rare programs from the 1930s, including both Olympias! Plus there are ultra-rare German heralds from the 1930s and 1940s (we have never sold even one of these before), plus many other great rarities!

And yet this great rarity doesn't translate to high prices, at least not in OUR auctions. As of now, with two days to go, there are 725 of these items at the opening bid of $1, and 384 of those don't have a bid yet, so a single $1 bid might take those. And while many of these will surely receive more bids, it is almost a certainty that many will sell for VERY low prices, and if there are going to be great deals (and outright "steals") we would hope that you get them!
