And one more (last one I think) from a film I used to love as a kid.  I watched it recently, and the film actually holds up pretty well.  Not so much the effects, though.  But, seriously, what kid that saw this movie did not want a glaive?

It is a UK one sheet.  The quad has the same art.

Schan is kicking ass and taking names in this thread!

Also, that Goonies vid poster should have been the one sheet IMO.

I believe this poster is actually a promotional poster from the video game manufacturer Gottlieb. Similar to Robotron the game had two joysticks for the player to operate.  The artwork is the same as used on the game. Here is a link to the video game museum page:  http://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8358

It was definitely advertised as a video game poster when I bought it, so yeah.  It crushes the one sheet though.  I do admit that I was pretty surprised at the time to learn that there was a Krull video game!

Thanks fellas.  A couple of more I forgot to add that definitely belong if we are talking 80s flix.  My all time favorite 80s flick is Real Genius.  Too bad all the paper for it blows.

They used it in Japan, for the B1 and B2.  But, then, it was done by a Japanese artist, after all.

I played it at last year's Seattle pinball convention for the first time in years.  The arcade version was far more difficult than PC version.  Went back to Millipede, Super Pac Man and Gyruss...

Indeed.

I was gathered with friends around the TV and we all watched its premiere on MTV!

It was great too, because they would then play Thriller once about every hour, during the next play cycle.

We were all blown away, as everyone was, I'm sure.   happy1

We had just got our first VCR and I remember watching Thriller. The zombies in that video are so awesome.  I vividly remember one with blood pouring out of its mouth, I think it was when the music cut out.

I missed it completely. In 1984 I was finishing high school and preoccupied with other things. All perfectly legal of course ...
Sells well, so plenty remember it fondly. The special effects are a bit dubious if you watch it nowadays!

Used to regularly get this out on video back in the '80s. Along with Shocking Asia and Turkey Shoot and Basket Case and Evil Dead. You can imagine half a dozen bleary-eyed teenagers sitting round the VCR. The munchies would set in about halfway!!

This one probably belongs here.  The film is not very well known, and certainly not beloved.  But Garbage Pail Kids will always be remembered as an 80s icon for the right demographic.

The Garbage Pail Kids!  8)  We were big fans of all their stuff back in the mid 80s, and we saw the movie in the theater then, and all of us loved it.  I tried watching it again a few months ago, and barely made it through the first half hour.  :P  Amazing how some movies withstand the test of time, and others not so much.  I may try to watch the rest of it sometime.

Cool poster.  thumbup
