Anybody remember Selectivision by RCA?  Essentially, they were video records but could not record, thus they lost the war with VCRs once the prices on VCRs dropped.  I remember having this one on Seletivison:

"Please step away from the keyboard.  In my unsolicited opinion, you paid too much for your poster," said APF Price Police Officer Thierry.

Fright Night (1985)

Original video OS with the added "Now available on video cassette" line at the bottom (and using the same poster art as the theatrical OS).

My goodness!! I think just about every poster from the decade was posted. Definitely got this era covered. :)

A few in my pile that haven't been represented yet.

Thanks Rosa.Long ago,I was on ebay one night and stumbled upon it by accident.I had never seen it before.A nice piece from the days just before double sided, glossy posters would become the norm.

Did I really do that post on page 1?  It's crazy.  What's even crazier is that I would have so many more to add if I had the patience.

This is a poster I will never own.  Never seen the movie, do not intend to ever see the movie, because this pinhead thing freaks me out.  He's almost as ugly as the Frankenstein monster.

The  movie was very early New Line Cinema... and for what it was --- with the actual visual/physical SFX (no CG), unique makeup designs, a good music score by Christopher Young, Bob Shea's marketing... it went on to spawn a good number of sequels... that actually were less impressive than the original. (tho #2 had some kick ass fx and scenes that were top notch, imo).

Some scenes in #1 are cheesy, I will say... but in the end, it worked...and became quite the little franchise.  ;)

I have to admit...in the beginning he freaked me out, too.Same with Frankenstein. They're just so scary and unique that first time. There's actually a few characters in the sequels that might be even freakier. :)
