It's kinda cool that the lead guitarist of Metallica owns 3 of the 4 most expensive movie posters....

The second is also a Frankenstein poster, but the “teaser” style one-sheet which has a dark black background and a blood-red image of the monster. It is also unique and sold to collector Kirk Hammett for a price that would easily place it on the above list.

The 3rd and 4th ones also belong to Kirk, being the “other” style Mummy one-sheet (which hasn’t even been pictured in any poster books) and the 3-sheet for The Mummy which features a beautiful large image of Boris Karloff.

Anybody have his book?

Wonder if he'll go for the Drac at Heritage.  Let's see, how many concerts would Metallica have to play for him to clear $350,000.....

Great article as everyone has said (and also exceptional advertising for MPE)

Surprised the "Bride" teaser wasn't mentioned?

Would LOVE to see the other style Mummy one sheet at some point...

I have seen images of both the other MUMMY one sheet and three sheet. The intense color is dazzling; the large image of Karloff's mummified face at the top of each poster, in shades of blue and green, against a fiery orange and red background, is a sight to behold. They are both amazing examples of stone lithographic works of art.

No big deal Rich, he just looks balder in the 3 sheet.
Maybe the  jawdrop was too much?

So "the other Mummy" poster is a "Style B (or whatever)" one sheet that has never been posted in any poster book or on the Internet?

Is it better than the well-known one sheet?
