"The Mafia? I've shit 'em"  Wink

Great film and a very cool poster, although I think the quad has some charm too. I agree with your write up Ed, it's fascinating to see how London has changed, in particular, the docklands.

Another great write up on your website Ed - undoubtedly the most professional and informative poster collection site in my opinion.

I have that Long Good Friday poster - and another UK style which is arguably as good! I will try and find time to take a picture of it and a couple of other UK styles as well.

Agreed.
I check on Ed's site every day or two for updates.
It is a learning experience, no doubt.
And I dig the close-up pictures, too!

Thanks gents. I agree with Bruce and Ted that the film is a must-see classic.

Mark: Do you have the one sheet with artwork by Tom Chantrell (as featured in Sim's great book)? I'd love to find that style too one day. I look forward to seeing the pics.

Definitely lust after the "LGF" one sheet.  Nicely done.

On a side note, does anybody know how many different quads there were.  I know there's the "fuse" and I seem to recall one with Razors too.  Are there others?

I think there were two quads for the original release - there were also at least two double crowns (probably four) based on the same style of the original quads - and a great re-release quad. I have all of these and will try and put up some pictures by the weekend.

I like that ballerina one, Mel.

Great addition there, Ed, as usual, you have a great eye. Pick up your Ansin Metropolis yet? You can have mine if you build me a cool website. Wink

Cheers Ben. No sign of Metropolis yet Sad

If only I had the skills to build you a site from scratch I surely would - it helps when you have friends who know what they're doing!

Nice poster...

I saw it for the first time (and second timme actually) a couple of months back and really enjoyed it, although I still greatly prefer Mona Lisa in the Bob Hoskins/British crime oeuvre...

Nice.  A little too much male skin for my taste, but nice.

Lol! Well, I am trying to counter the poster of hot girls that have been posted. Beef-cakes need some love too :p

It's my first Italian 2 sheet. There's three more coming my way. A French "Risky Business" and "Last StarFighter".

YES - this is what I noticed - takes the manly factor down a few notches (they should have been in armor)
