An expert, he is not! He calls the Birth of a Nation poster a "lobby card", when it is actually a local theater window card, and it is probably a 1930 re-release (since it has a duotone image of the 1930 "sound added" one-sheet).  He calls the Frankenstein poster the only one in existence, which IS true of the 1931 teaser one sheet I sold, but what is pictured is the 1947 re-release one sheet.

And that's as far as I made it.

Yeah, I actually emailed him to let him know of a few other mistakes.

Notably...

Struzan did not do the ET poster pictured.  None of his ET designs were used theatrically.
Struzan did not do that Blade Runner poster.  The one pictured was done by John Alvin.  Struzan did the Ridley Scott Director's Cut poster from 1992.
Struzan did not do the theatrical poster for the Green Mile.  His design was never used theatrically.
Tyler Stout's Kill Bill (which cost $50 originally) does not sell for $2,500 ($500 at the most).  At 2k, The Thing is the most expensive of his posters.

His answer...

Thanks for the comments, at the time I did this talk, I believe there was at least one sale of the Stout Kill Bill in that range, though it could have been his Akira. These talks I were doing were informal and without notes, so there were bound to be some slipups, but Im glad you enjoyed them.

Regardless, any kind of course on movie poster raises the awareness of the hobby (and your business, Bruce), which is why I posted it.  It should be noted.

Thanks for the link.  Overall pretty informative but kinda random and I don't think the poster selection was that great.
