You Ari, are the only one in the whole world I like that eats offal, misses his dead rat carcasses, draws women on walls with skin peeling off of them and keeps a meat cleaver by his bed.

"Anonymous" - complete rubbish. Gave it 1 hour then turned it off. Not only was the story preposterous, but the direction was horrible. Emmerich is a complete hack.

"Fast Five" - moronic. Had to turn that one off 45 minutes into it. A couple of the action sequences were ok, but could not make up for the predictable story line and ridiculous acting. Paul Walker is just atrocious.

Great topic, Stew.  thumbup  Now my queue, and my free time, can be spared some crapola.  Grin

Rubber (2010).  The Vallejo one sheet is cool, but that movie is by far the worst I've seen in a while, the first 15 minutes of a movie anyway...
Rubber had to be one of the dumbest movies I have seen in awhile lol.

Midnight in Paris, Owen Wilson acting surprised got irritating after the 1st time and the ridiculous stereotypes were just as annoying.

The remake of "The Thing". So glad I didn't bother to see it in the theater. Wooden acting, and basically a bad copy of the original.

Hmmm, which original?  The1951 "Thing from another World" or the 1982 John Carpenter remake?

I think he is talking about The Thing 'prequel' that was just in theaters... I have been avoiding it.

I know.  He was comparing it to the original.  Both of the earlier films are pretty good, but very different, thus my question.

Sorry, should have been more specific. Yes I'm talking about the 2011 remake / "prequel". Having not seen the Howard Hawks 1951 film the John Carpenter remake is the "original" in my mind.

I find the Hawks version a little muddled and...difficult to follow at times..Carp,delivered a brilliant modern remake..after this it was all downhill for John..

Sorry, I think you misunderstood, what I meant was that the Carpenter THING wasn't a remake. Here we go again, was meant as I am sure we have had this debate before Wink
