Wrecked starring Adrian Brody

My question is, why didn't the damn car blow up and kill everyone inside right at the beginning, would have saved the audience from having to watch anymore.

I find the Hawks version a little muddled and...difficult to follow at times..Carp,delivered a brilliant modern remake..after this it was all downhill for John..

This is a touch late, but can we all agree Carpenter made the better movie??

I must have missed this, Stew are you saying the Carpenter film is better than Hawks Original...??

For me yes, I had not seen the Hawks original when i was a kid and getting scared shottless by those late night Hammer horrors..so it wasn`t until after the Carpenter version that I finally saw it.
Don`t get me wrong,it`s a great,great movie,but I just prefer the Carpenter version.

You sit there saying that, with your Free Quadbod pen in hand....

That's fair enough, I always prefer Black and White films over colour most of the time... ;)  Odd
isn't it. I tend to watch more of Harryhausens B&W films, more than the colour ones, and Jason is
My Fav of his.... :-\

Plus I do think the Thing and Day the Earth stood still, started all the Sci-fi genre as we know it today..

pity Metropolis didn't start "all the SF genre as we know it today", we might have some good SF films (or a better % rather).

hmmm after Metropolis of course.

2001, Blade Runner, Gattaca, Solaris (Tarkovsky), Phase IV, Clockwork Orange, A Scanner Darkly. There will be more as I think.

Astro Zombies is about as SF as Bambi.  :)
