Hahahahaha....
ESCAPE FROM LA?  Carpenter's worst? Maybe.

Last night I thought I'd give the original PHANTASM another go.
I know this film has a following...but why?
Nostalgia?

Ha ha. Epic.

I watched Phantasm recently for the first time as well.  As long as you laugh at it, it's great!

Not another Coscarelli film.....
aaaaarrrrrggggghhhhhh,,,,don't do it, man.

And remember, the tiger died from being dyed for this film:
(from imdb.com) "Sultan, the tiger that played "Ruh" in the movie, died about 2 years after the movie as a result of severe skin problems as well as other health issues caused by the toxic black dye used."

Recently saw the remake of "Conan the Barbarian" - and my expectations were so low that I actually managed to watch the whole thing, and sort of enjoyed how bad it was. However, also recently rented "Fast 5" and had to turn it off 45 minutes in, as I could no longer bare it.

Great topic, Stew.  thumbup  Now my queue, and my free time, can be spared some crapola.  Grin

Rubber (2010).  The Vallejo one sheet is cool, but that movie is by far the worst I've seen in a while, the first 15 minutes of a movie anyway...

I like Phantasm.  It is pretty random though.  Corpses turned into little people from another dimension....awesome.

Stewardess School.........

It was really, really bad.  Not so bad it was funny.  Just bad, and not funny even though it tried.

If watching 91 minutes of four people wandering lost in the desert is your cup of tea, check out THIRST, a 2010 direct-to-video survival drama starring Lacey Chabert (she's the only reason I stuck it out).
Ultimately, it was extremely depressing and totally pointless.  Ugh.
Highlight was a dream sequence of a bikini-clad Chabert swimming in a pool. That's it...

Alternatively, if you want to watch a first rate film about 4 people wandering about a desert. You could watch this....

Quite the ticket....

Known here in the States as DESERT ATTACK, I don't think I've ever seen ICE COLD IN ALEX.
Thanks for the tip, Paul. I'll look for it.

Yesterday, I had the misfortune of watching the bulk of SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE. What a horrible, horrible film.

It is repulsive on so many levels, I mean I cannot remember a movie making me that crabby in some time.

If you can get through the first 20 minutes then it's an interesting movie. I can't say I would say it is a Thriller, but certainly an intense Drama.
