Using Google Chrome & Google Translate to bypass language issues

Most of you probably know this but in case you don't the Google Chrome browser and the Google Translate website are great tools to bypass language issues.  I just negotiated a transaction on Ebay Italy with a seller who doesn't speak English using these tools.

Google Chrome can translate webpages - the translation is not always perfect but almost always understandable:

You can also use Google Translate to translate messages:

Excellent post Mel. I use chrome as my browser and it is a very cool feature.

I have used it to window shop in Germany, Italy and Japan. Got a bunch of stuff book marked.

Unfortunately the one time I did use it to buy two posters from Germany, I received what appear to me to be copies. The seller swears all his stuff is original and the posters were cheap but it left me wondering about Germany and copies. They are short in size, the FSK marks are blurry and the paper is too white on the back and feels too much like ink jet paper.

Any German paper experts around?

Indeed. I just cancelled an order from there, and the previous two were... you know.
One was sent in one of those damned "triapack" triangular tubes, and arrived of course damaged.
The other time I bought from there the seller wanted to charge 50 euros for shipping 1 manifesto... :o

Yes, I just got a crappy triapack from Italy.  I'll have to tell the seller to ship flat.

Google also has an in-line Translation add-on for Google+ that facilitates near real-time conversation between just about anyone from anywhere with a reasonable level of functionality.

It's just one of the many reasons why it's becoming the only social media site worth using...

Man I've bought close to 100 posters from Italy and no Triangle tubes ever.  I have gotten cardboard sandwiched posters covered in wax butcher paper; that I thought was odd.  I must have been lucky...  I've actually never had an issue with Italian shipping...

I've received many triangle tubes over the years. I think the triangle tubes are free at the Italian post office. I also get packages with no cardboard reinforcement. Just a poster in a flimsy envelope. I have a special poster being shipped from Italy on Monday by FedEx, so I'm hoping it's packed right.

Any German paper experts around?

Am not really an expert on German paper, but I am German and I know a couple knowledgeable collectors I could ask.
What titles did you buy?
