If anyone has these pressbooks, I would like to either buy them or lease them or have you call me and let me know some of the material. I will pay for usage. Also presskits. I am interested in production information/how the movie was made, the news headlines stories in the publicity sections. Please help if you can.

If anyone has these pressbooks,

Wings

The Library of Congress has a LARGE collection of Paramount pressbooks from the silent era on microfilm, but when I visited 2 years ago to do some research, they did not have the one for "Wings", does it exist, as I would be interested in a copy.

I have an elaborate one for Wings, but it is from 1928, and it says "after playing a year at exclusive theaters", which probably meant just one theater each in New York and Los Angeles and maybe a few others (that's what they did with monster releases back then, and the rest of the country had to wait until after that (remember those monster theaters held 3,000 or more people, and they might have five shows a day, so each theater packed in 100,000 or so people a week!).

I doubt they made a pressbook before the one I have (why make a pressbook for a handful of theaters?).

But like the rest of my 25,000 or so pressbooks they are buried away. I HAVE started sorting them, but it is a massive project!
