Ann Darrow actually touched your poster..... I wonder.... did they ask her to scream as she signed?

...... for old times' sake, that is.  qip

Very cool framed Kong!

Thanks, just wish it was anti-glare plexi.

Got this uncommon international three sheet for Star Trek 2 last night for only $26.  It ain't that great since it's just various scenes but still pretty cool.  (The studio wanted to play up the action for ST2 since ST1 had been slow and tedious.)  I believe they stopped printing three sheets in 1982 (or maybe 1983).

The scuttlebut about why Paramount cobbled together these photo montage posters for the American release of Star Trek II is that the Peak art (seen internationally) was lost in transit and the studio needed paper fast for the premiere.
Has anyone here heard this story?

Well that three sheet IS an international poster.  The Peak art was only used on the UK poster, I think.

I thought I read somewhere that the studio deliberated avoid using pics/illustrations of the Trek stars, just wanted to focus on action.  My three sheet only shows one shot of Kirk and Spock, the rest are general action scenes.

Peak art was also used in France and Italy as well at the very least. Peak was pretty good.

Great Peak art on those 2, Z.

Two weeks until the big guy starts eating another city for breakfast. Can't wait. In honor of his impending release from prison the only Godzilla poster I have is on the wall.

I wish Peak did more stuff through the years. His work is just fantastic.

Now we're on to good conversation... I don't have a photo of the Birds 24sh - this b&w came from a campaign manual - someday I'll have to unpack and get a couple good photos...

Stephen... i was looking back here to this thread... and your 6 sheets are just incredible!  faint2.gif

How many of that size do you own, in total?
