The seller claims this to be authentic. This is a Belgian poster and the seller says it measures 16 1/2 x 23 3/4 inches. I know that that is bigger then the 14 x 22 inches that are normally released in Belgium. I also asked the seller if it says somewhere on the poster "Imprime en Belgique" I know that this guarantees authenticity. Now the auction history on emovieposter.com and the picture the seller has posted look identical. I cannot see any mark that says "Imprime en Belgique" on either picture. Between the poster not saying that anywhere and the size those are the only things that have me real skeptical on purchasing this. Can someone help me decide whether or not this is a authentic Belgian release poster.

In my opinion the size is all wrong and the white border areas are far too thick to be authentic.  Just compare it to the ones Bruce has auctioned - big difference!

Looking at the sellers picture it appears to be very glossy as well.

That is what I was thinking as well. Also everyone on Bruce's site has some sort of type at the top where this one does not. The size is really what had me thinking it to be fake.

Sometimes Belgians, don't have Imprime en Belgique on them. They may have a phone number, and you can tell from that. The thick boarder thing is no way to tell either.  most Belgians have at least one boarder that's 2" or more thick.    Just as a note, If it has printed in Belgium, it is most definitely a re-print...

The pic you posted has not come up on my computer, so I'm unable to comment on that. You also don't mention the sellers name, as I've had problems with a fellow selling Belgian posters...

The simple answer is, If in doubt, don't buy it...

Here's a dealer who had/has one for sale.  It seems there is a bit of a difference in total size -- this one appears to 14x20 -- a lot less border.

The problem with Belgians is the large boarder, which was there to print the venue etc on. A lot of people over the years trimmed it off, as they look better in a frame...

E.G....

One with the boarder.

and one with the boarder trimmed...

Which do you prefer......?

Paul, I was not specifically referencing the top border (blank area for the venue etc) but the side borders which are clearly out of proportion to the images of the ones Bruce has sold.
