Is this the best packing ever, or just over the top??

I went to pick a package up I was collecting for a US member. As it's folded I was expecting a thin envelope kind of package.
Instead I was given this.....   


The books just covering my address...

I thought It can't be the poster, must be something Yvonne has ordered, but when opened..



Low and Behold, a poster.

Yes that little thin bit of paper was posted in this huge box, and my pics don't do justice
to how big the box is...





Not sure weather this is good over the top packing or just silly.....

And only one nice piece, I had to be very carful taking out the other stuff....

Agree... it seems way overkill... but the shipper felt comfortable figured it would arrived unharmed... and it looks to have done so...

and that's all that matters.

He probably meant well but if he charged you for all this excessive packaging, eh, not so fun.

It was an auction house that used a third party for packing and delivery, but they were about the usual kind of rate, as it was so light I guess...

If it was them, they would of, this one was Interlink express, they wouldn't leave it so I had to go pick it up..needed driving licence and everything to prove it was me..... and I had a pic of me on my phone, but they wouldn't except that..
