I just won an eBay auction for a Road Warrior daybill, but noticed with a few seconds left that it doesn't have the M.A.P.S. logo on the lower border.  Most of the ones Bruce auctioned have the logo, but at least one does not.  This may be a simple question, and I found one possible answer from John (moviemem.com) at NSFGE (about 3/4 down the page), and he seems like he knows what he's talking about, and I'm just checking to see if anyone has any info. to add.

I saw this auction last night; did the same comparison.  I found his analysis very plausible.  The guys was selling an Aussie 1-sheet for Thunderdome too. I noticed he kept saying that they were bought from heritage; did you check the ended listings?

Yeah, the fact that they were purchased from Heritage makes me feel all warm and cozy inside.  Cheesy  Did I check the ended listings?  I'm not sure what you mean.

Please forgive me, I'm still not sure what you mean.  Are you saying that if I viewed their completed listings, that those listings may have some additional info.?  I found a completed auction on Heritage for one daybill (the seller had 2 daybills and the same story was listed for each, although in the Heritage auction it states only one item was sold in the auction) so that is kinda weird, unless there was a mistake and there were actually 2 items in the Heritage auction.  A Road Warrior one sheet that the eBay seller had also was allegedly from Heritage and it also sold at Heritage for the exact same price ($262.90) a few months later.

Don't fret Neo.
Definately not a repro...I've had both, with and without logo.
Why no logo?  I have no idea, but it is definately a legit original release.

The Road Warrior daybill arrived and whadd'ya know, it has the MAPS logo.  AND it has the sticker on the bag that it originally was delivered in from Heritage!  Now I really feel good about its authenticity!!!  Cheesy

It's not in as good of condition as I had expected, but I should've known that it wouldn't be since I didn't use my "condition translator."  rofl

It seems real, and at $20.50 a huge bargain

Cool, Rick.  Thanks for the confirmation.  Yeah, the Andrew Jackson did seem like a great price for it.  The guy's gear that was allegedly bought from Heritage really did not fare well in his eBay auctions.  He only got $10 for the other Road Warrior daybill, and the same for a one sheet, the lowest prices I've ever seen those sell for.

True but all the important parts will be warm.  By that of course I mean my face.
