I have a gigantic Zathura

I don't think it's a buss shelter and actually I think it's 40x60 or larger

it has a number of small holes to used for mounting or hanging

Are you interested in all lenticulars, or just ones from the last few years?

If older ones also, I have a really cool 10.5"x13.5" lenticular from the NYC premier of 2001: A Space Odyssey.  There were two versions... mine is of the space station and the other is of astronauts on a planet surface.  And I think they both existed in larger format (~22x33") and postcard format (~3x5") as well.  They were all made in Japan if I recall correctly.

There is also an old lenticular for Ice Station Zebra.

Does anyone else know of other pre-1990's lenticulars?

Same size meaning 10.5x13.5" or 23x33"? Or both?

Both I think, although the only one I am positive about is the large size.

I just checked Heritage and they've sold the 10.5"x13.5" versions of both Ice Station Zebra and Ben Hur.  They were referring to them as "Counter-Top Displays," which would match up with my 2001 lenticular.  It is in a thick cardstock-like frame with a little pop out stand like you would have on the back of a small picture frame.

I heard that they were in plastic frames.  It doesnt really matter, they are pretty cool.  It should be noted that the small size Ben-Hur countertop lenticular is from the original release while the large size is R1969.

Also, missing from this list is the Brainscan video release one sheet and Shadowbuilder.

Glad you brought that list over here too.

Now, we need the Alamo threads!

Hi, Folks!

This section on LAMP includes images of some of the items discussed in this thread ...

http://www.learnaboutmovieposters.com/NewSite/INDEX/ARTICLES/lenticularlist.asp

... I believe they were produced in Germany, rather than Japan - at least, the larger ones which correspond to a standard German poster size.

I've always been wary of the two sizes shown for the 2001 lenticular.  The 29" one shown as UK may simply have been a 33" US one which had its bottom edge cropped.

Best wishes,

Terry - Quadbod

Yeah, I seem to remember the previous discussion leading to a consensus of Germany as the origin of these 60's lentics.  I know I would LOVE to have one of the large size Ice Station ones.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to remember there being a UK specific version of the large size 2001.

Hi, Schan!
I've just edited my previous post as I'd incorrectly stated there were two UK ones on LAMP - in fact, they show one US version and one UK version, identical to the US version but four inches shorter.  It looks different in the image because it's been adjusted to match sizes with the other one.  If you compare the actual artwork, it seems possible that the one marked UK is simply the US one cut down for some reason.  The 'missing' section shows the title, but it also shows the Cinerama logo.  Maybe it was adapted, either officially or unofficially, for non-Cinerama screenings. 29" x 23" seems a strange size whereas the 33" x 23" does tally with other titles.
Best wishes,
Terry - www.quadbod.co.uk

Add The Frighteners as a standee lenticular. Also, does anyone have pictures of the 3 Coraline bus stop lenticulars? I have seen two of them and didn't know there was a third.

Those are the two I have seen. Which is the third then? Is it the same as the lenticular one sheet?

Just browsing Heritage's upcoming March signature auction and I saw this Alien lenticular.  The Heritage description lists it as one of two known that were developed by Kodak as part of an ad campaign.  It's wonderfully wicked and really apart from Alien art I've seen thus far.

I was at the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta last night and they had these on the wall.  They are for a 3-D educational cartoon that is showing in their theater.  The one on the left is the main poster and then you can see one of the character posters to the right.  There were 4 more character posters that I did not take a picture of.  They are bus shelter size (approximately 40x60) and are 3-D depth rather than a changing image.  I am not sure if this is showing at other aquariums around the country, but I would bet so.
