I got one yesterday that was in a tube rolled lengthwise.  Pretty good packaging overall, but this was the first time i had ever seen this.  It surprised me a bit.  Has anyone else seen this?

Never once.  Doesn't make sense, because a longer and more expensive tube would be needed.  Maybe he had an extra long tube lying around and decided to roll it that way to fill the space?  Nah, that would be pretty frakin dumb.

One of the main distributors to the theatres here in the UK roll quads lengthways when they are shipping out say 25-50 in boxes. They still roll them the normal way when sending out small qtys in tubes though.

I've had this happen a few times.  Still don't get why the seller would do it because of the extra bother and expense.

Talking of rolling posters, what is the etiquette towards rolling with the image on the inside or the outside? I always prefer to roll my posters with the image facing inwards, however when I buy from an up market poster store they always roll with the image on the outside?

I had one idiot fold the daybill up then rolled it lengthwise against the folds.

I was wondering before I opened the tube, why is the tube so short. uhno
