I own a lot of press books, but I don't collect them.  Nothing fancy, though, a lot of 80s and 90s fare.

What interest me more is your Macca autograph and drawing.  Did you get this in person?  If so, it's quite awesome.

I have a stack of them in my collection, but I'm not a pressbook collector per se
I collect them in with the other subjects I collect, like Raymond Chandler

The posted collection seems to be mostly (or all) UK pressbooks, and they are very impressive.

I DO have a huge collection of solely U.S. ones, and I have been incredibly slowly organizing them.

I estimate I have around 95% of those made after 1960, around 75% of those from the 1950s, around 50% from the 1930s and 1940s. and around 25% from before 1930.

I also have a huge collection of studio yearbooks, exhibitor magazines, and heralds.

Someday I hope to have them all cataloged!

just like me.. I might have 10% of my collection photographed, and that's how I keep track of my collection. it would be impossible for me to create a list

I have a bunch, mostly 20's and 30's, although I do have one for "The Lost Weekend".

Bruce, I may need to see you one day about possibly looking at your collection from the 20's/30's era for a book I'm working on.

mis-spelled prop. I'll bet they were getting ready to film the scene before someone noticed and they probably didn't want to wait for the prop dept to create another because of the cost of a day lost

all the paper on the title has this faux pas

Not quite true, Rich. A "clew" originally was "a yarn or thread as used to guide one's way through a maze or labyrinth; a guide" (Perseus used this as the way to get out of the impossible to get out of Labyrinth, and one would have thought someone else could have managed this before him).

So later, something that helped you solve a puzzle became known as a "clew" (in 1841, Edgar Allan Poe, in The Murders in the Rue Morgue, wrote"To this horrible mystery there is not as yet, we believe, the slightest clew."

Over time, the original yarn or thread meaning was rarely ever used, and its spelling morphed into "clue".

So the person who used that spelling was not "clewless", just merely old fashioned.

I have all the James Bond UK and US Campaign and Pressbooks.  That said, as per my Wants list, I am looking for the US double feature p/book for Thunderball / You Only Live Twice.

I also have two versions of the UK From Russia with Love Campaign book.  This was apparently printed by two separate printers so the differences are slight, but they are there.  Also the paper stock is different between the two.

Hi
Oh I forgot about the McCartney autograph. It wasn't done for me but still very cool.

Bruce, yes some nice ones there alright, thank you. You are right they are all UK Pressbooks.

The interesting part of pressbooks is they can contain some fantastic forgotten artwork. If you are a collector of a particular movie or actor/actress they can be very interesting and in most cases a cheap collectable.

Cheers!

Agreed.

I came across the fact that the UK printed four 11x14 lobby cards for Goldfinger and Russia - a fact I would otherwise have never really come across.
