Has anyone noticed how a title can be semi-obscure and then suddenly it is everywhere?

An example would be "How to be Very, Very Popular"  That is a $10 poster that was not seen too often, but lately I have been seeing an example in every auction from Bruce and Rich as well as on eBay.  Examples of every size have been sold in the last few months.

Is this a collector of Betty Grable liquidating?  Yet another warehouse find? (how many of these can be left?)  Just a coincidence?

Not just this title.  I've seen a number of others recently, but this one is kind of blatent.

It is weird but I think for the most part there is nothing nefarious going on - just odd coincidences.

This has happened to me several times where a poster I have been looking for suddenly pops up (and maybe not in the greatest condition) so I go after it hard.  Then two weeks later another in better condition comes up with a completely different and unrelated seller and probably ends up selling for less because I have already spent everything on the first one.

The mysteries of the poster collecting universe...

There are instances of people who are sitting on multiples of the same title.
I know for a fact some auction houses are sitting on multiple copies of the same items, under their ownership, but can only drip feed their stock because otherwise they would kill the market with regards to those items.

In general, I find it's like when you buy a new car - before you owned the new car you didn't see many of them on the road, then once you've bought it you see a few!

I agree it's unlikely anything nefarious is going on.  Seems like recently a lot of Amazing Spiderman (1977 movie) posters have popped up and those are pretty obscure.  Heritage unloaded at least a couple of hundred - and probably many more - Missile Monsters and Mysterians posters from the 1950s, which were obscure.  I'm sure Heritage found a cache of them somewhere.
