As well there have been set photos making the rounds this past week with Batman and Bane while filming in Pittsburgh. Some of which contain spoilers so I'm not posting them in this reply.

I actually just finished watching Batman Begins again (credits are still rolling). Still not a fan of Nolan's Batman but I don't mind the movies as much as I did. Still think Nolan is the most overrated director in existence and that fanboys are blind using their "It's a Nolan movie it'll be good, no problem if something looks bad it's a Nolan movie." excuse for everything. I will not conform!

I wouldn't call myself a Nolan fan, but I really appreciate him as a director. He does most of his effects in camera and genuinely wants to make great films. I really like Memento, liked The Dark Knight, and loved Inception. But Batman Begins didn't do much for me. Part of the reason I really like The Dark Knight is because it improved upon everything I didn't like about Batman Begins.

With that in mind, The Dark Knight is a very tough act to follow. I'm skeptical about The Dark Knight Rises. I don't like Anne Hathaway as an actress, and it seems like there are a lot of characters in Rises. I'm just going to keep my expectations neutral and hope I'm not disappointed. The thing I like the most about The Dark Knight Rises is that it's the "end". This is Nolan's last Batman movie, and he's finishing a three-movie arc that will have a definitive ending that does not set up for a sequel. Comic book movies don't really do that.
