Ok, I remember seeing a Hansel & Gretel movie many times in the early 80's but I cant seem to locate it. It wasn't the David Warner version which I just watched on YouTube. The reason I know this is because I distinctly remember the witch getting shoved or kicked into an oven. In the Warner version, they say some spell and make the witch magically take the boys place on the rope and she is dipped into the oven. The only other possibility I can imagine it being is Tim Burton's Disney version from 1982, but I don't remember if all the actors were Japanese like in Burton's short. I don't even know how to see Burton's version anyway. Anyone have any other ideas?

Yes! That was it. Thanks, Stewart! Imdb.com was no help. When I searched "Hansel and Gretel", it didn't even show that one in the search results.

Internet movie database. It is listed in IMDB though. This was part of shelly Duval's project Faerie Tale Theater. The episode was Season 2, Episode 6.

This is why I asked the question. After I found out what version it was from Stewart, and I realized I wasn't going crazy, I emailed imdb and told them their search results need to be looked at since this version wasn't showing up on a basic search for "Hansel and Gretel".

But it wasn't primarily a Hansel and Gretel movie or TV show. It was a particular episode of a Showtime series. What you are asking is that IMDB search particular episodes like knowing that "The Hot Troll Deviation" is linked to Big Bang Theory. Major database update. <removed last paragraph because it was inappropriate. jayn_j (sorry)>

It should have still come up with a basic search.

I don't see it. It's not even in the Partial Matches section: http://www.imdb.com/find?s=all&q=hansel+and+gretel

I doubt it. Their database, while very useful, is far from error free. These include factual errors, as well as the kind you found Ryan. Their data certainly bears scrutinizing if utilized for anything other than casual information gathering.
