Images of Invisible Posters
« on: July 11, 2011, 02:50:18 PM »
Here's a thread nobody has ever thought of - posters you can't see!!

this one is a special poster for Star Wars. very rare.. no one has ever seen a copy before:

this super-rarity for Frankenstein is printed with no inks. I think it is the only copy known to exist & came out before the popular Advance style in 1931. If you look at the credits, Lon Chaney is the Monster

Here's a poster for Samson and Delilah.. Style-D, it is meant to show you what Samson sees after Henry Wilcoxon blinds Samson

Rare style for the Invisible Man

here is the best of all James Bond posters. it was printed with UV inks and conatins a secret code.
you're supposed to submerge it in lemon juice to get the code

Cool advance poster for the upcoming Steven Soderbergh movie as yet untitled (makes it harder to find)

yet more great Invisible Posters.

this is the revised version of Khartoum.
Apparently there was a credits issue with one of the stars, so it was re-issued without any

this poster actually isn't invisible.
it's the white text powder teaser for "Blow"

and this one was a proposed style for Fargo to emphasize the weather

I should mention that the Blow and Fargo posters were both designed by I.M. Visible and he was paid $50,000 per job and when he submitted the job to the producers of Blow in 2001, they accused him of using the same art he had used for Fargo in 1996. He explained that he used different brushes and fonts and so they were not the same.

you can see the different fonts if you look hard enough

Yes.  I OWN that poster.  Pretty good shape too, except that some studio idiot re-used it and printed a Three Amigos poster on the back side.  Given the rarity, do you think it would hurt the value?
