Post your "tricked out" "official" movie posters here, not the commercial ones - ones that have actually been posted in movie theaters.
These posters have unique physical characteristics - the "wow" element - glow in the dark, lenticulars, optical illusions, etc.
These are not common, probably because they are expensive to produce.
I'll start off with a few.

The Tank Girl poster - this is a "black light" poster - I'll try to post a picture with the "black light" effect later:

Goldmember - this has the "sparkly" title - I believe this one was recalled due to a dispute with the Bond producers:

You have it backwards. The characters are visible from a distance, but not up close. I dont think I can take a picture of the effect though because I can't get a tight enough angle with the camera. I will try when I am home in a couple of weeks though.

No, its actually funny that I keep letting her ship things .. I sold a book on half.com and I told her to send it out for me .. And if you havent sold on half.com they set the shipping fee based on the cost of media mail postage. But when she took the book in she didnt package it she grabbed one of those express mail boxes and paid $20 to have it shipped express .. I only got $40 total with shipping costs !!

Probably zero to none. I have the Bale, but have never heard of anyone with that one or any others, nor have I seen any for sale (and I have been keeping watch for them). I guess its possible, but for no further examples to surface in 4 years is very strange for a modern film.

That Sin City is awesome, Erich. There's a number of Japanese posters that use the prismatic effect. I also love the ones that use raised ink, sparkles, embossed printing, and other details. But, the one that takes the cake in this category is this B1 I have for Midnight Eagle. The regular poster has images of bullet holes on it. But this special copy, printed on heavy card stock, has actual holes in the poster for the bullet holes. Where you see black in the image, when in a lightbox, the light shines through the holes. One day I need to take a pic in the lightbox. It's the best of all tricked out posters, I think.

Nice posters .. But i think its funny that it has 6 views and 4 posts and they are all Mel Did you have a point with this? This is the first time I'm reading this thread and I am an owner of this board. Work is so hectic (that's good!) that I can't read everything every day. So, when I finally get to this thread, I think it's cool and I actually know exactly what he's talking about with this topic. Maybe, in the future, might want to hold onto the rapier wit while the rest of us catch up.

Ah, just take a step or two back from your monitor to see the effect.

you know, I had seen and considered nabbing one of those tank girl posters. I never knew it was a blacklight poster though. That spidey 3 poster is great, but it is really too bad the movie was so terrible. Personally, I have one of the "Venom on the left" versions.

I have the quad for Spidey 3 although Ive never had it up for display .. Id love to see what that looks like ! I got the version like the image above with the main image being of Spider man and the reflection being Venom .. To me that portrayed the struggle between the characters better.

Great stuff guys - keep posting! The Sin City & Midnight Eagle posters are stunning! Here's another one - the 1993 Snow White reflective mylar "mirror" poster - best use of mylar on any poster IMHO. I'll have to buy this one as a gift for my niece:

This thread has been dead for a year but I spotted a new tricked out poster. Can you read the hidden message? It's a schooner!" Willam:"You dumb bastard! That's not a schooner, it's a sailboat!" Little Boy:"A schooner is a sailboat, stupidhead!"
