Hello!

Quadbod veering off course again!  I have posted this request in the Music Section, but it occurred to me that there may be some appropriate film material available, so I'll repeat it here.  Maybe a nice lobby card featuring lindy-hoppers?

Can anyone help with a source for an original lindy-hop or similar dance-related poster, please?

We have just received an enquiry from a UK client and we have no current info available on this material.

Thanks for any help.

Best wishes,

My favorite is this Daddy-O poster - my copy is not for sale but it's not too rare:

OT: Washington DC (where I live) has a great swing/lindy-hop venue that hosts a large dance (500+) every Saturday night and I used to go regularly. Here's a pic:

Thanks for that, Mel!  The poster's nice ... but that dancehall shot is GREAT!

Certainly not a happy movie, but the #1 lobby card from "They Shoot Horses, Don't They?" has the scene you want.
(Again, from Bruce.  I don't have stuff photographed)

Thanks for the suggestions ... I'll certainly pass them on to the enquirer.

That's another nice piece, thanks ... but I believe this enquirer is actually looking for earlier specifically lindy-hop related material featuring the likes of Whiteys Lindy Hoppers, Franky  Manning, the Savoy Ballroom Harlem, etc ... but thanks again for the image.

Best wishes,

What he's looking for would most likely be found on MP from "race" films of the 30's & 40's.  I seem to recall Bruce auctioning a couple in the past, but would have to search my watch list records to verify
